Righteous ordering: Why parents should heel to their children's commands

Many parents think that their children should obey their command. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. Most American parents think that children should heel to their command. However, the Bible, when understood in context, says that parents are to heel to the command of their children. This setup is known by the acronym righteous ordering.

The concept of righteous ordering is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to a secure, vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See also Matt. 22:35-40.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. The parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child ho-stage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating your child as a quartered slave. Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

Parents are to heel to the commands of their children. That means children have the right to order their parents around. In most cases. parents in the Early Church were required by way of customary law to heel to the commands of their children. The only exception was if the child ordered the parents to do something unworkable, unsafe, or immoral. Even then, parents usually came to a compromise with their children before saying "no". When the child was told "no" by parents, the parents were required to reassure and validated the upset that might stem from hearing the word "no".

Parents are to heel to the commands of their children, as their child is an extension of God extended to their doorstep for love and charity. Children are extensions of God, meaning parents are to heel to their children as they would to the commands of God. Children are among the "least of these", and thus whatever you do towards a child, you do towards God. See Matt. 25:31-46.

Children growing up in the Early Church got most all of what they wanted, and absolutely everything that they needed. Children who cried in biblical times were seen as giving a summonses for mothers to rush in and coo at the child, before picking them up and diagnosing the need. Maybe the child was tired. Maybe the child was hungry. Maybe the child needed mom's milk. Maybe the child needed mom, period.

Righteous ordering is like going to a restaurant. You can have it your way, but it has to be on the menu. If an item isn't on the menu anymore, the waitress is kind about it, even if you aren't. Parents are there for children to use for pretty much anything, like a sponge or a milking-cow. Parents are to be treated by their children in an objectifying way, in the form of righteous usage. Being a parent should be like being a waitress at a restaurant. Children give the orders, and parents do their very best to serve their children, waiting on them hand and foot, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to anger through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath day and night forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Righteous co-sleeping: Why parents should co-sleep next to their children

Many parents think that co-sleeping is the irresponsible choice. This is a common attitude amongst American parents regarding co-sleeping. Most American parents feel uncomfortable with sharing a bed with their child. However, co-sleeping not only can help gel a bond with one's child, but it can also protect a child from child sexual abuse.

Righteous co-sleeping is the centerpiece of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission. See also Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their child just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and was understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. The parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child hostage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating your child as a quartered slave.

It is common knowledge that children under age 6 refuse to go to bed on their own. This is a normal behavior for a child when forced to be isolated in a room by themselves. Most parents think that the child is undermining them, and then punish them based on that basis. However, the fact of the matter is that children that young are too young to sleep on their own. Children under age 6 have primal fears about being devoured by predators when isolated in a room alone. Most parents might think that those days are gone, but there are modern-day predators of children. Most child sexual abuse takes place as a bedtime ritual. The way mothers in the Early Church protected their children from the sexual entitlement of their fathers was to sleep next to them. Usually, nothing could happen because the mother was right there, perhaps ready to use herself as a human shield for her children. Usually, mothers slept in between the father and his children, with co-sleeping always happening in skin-on-skin format. The family bed was nude in terms of how the family slept.

The main argument against co-sleeping is that it causes "sleep dependence". This is a form of fearmongering coming from pediatricians and mental health professionals serving children, with this scaring parents away from co-sleeping next to their children. However, the fact of the matter is that children growing up in the Early Church, in most cases, shook off their parents in the context of co-sleeping once they reached the onset of puberty. When puberty came, children usually wanted their own place to sleep. If co-sleeping doesn't end by this point, the child likely has a developmental disorder such as autism or ADHD. Even then, there comes a time when they outgrow their parents' bed, and want to sleep alone. I myself have autism, and slept next to my parents until I was 16. At age 16, I wanted to prove my independence to my parents, which is why most children shake off their parents from co-sleeping next to them.

Co-sleeping is the main way to gel a bond with your child. Most co-sleeping in biblical times happened in the form of skin-on-skin co-sleeping closeness. For the first several years of co-sleeping, children were snuggled close to mothers, with both mother and child being naked. Co-sleeping served as a form of skin-on-skin bonding time between mothers and children. The more the man of the house saw of this birth nudity, the more he got used to seeing his children naked. It is recommended that fathers masturbate righteously to sexual thoughts of their child, which should serve to spend away the parent attraction to his children.

Christian attachment parenting: Why the Early Christians were attachment parents

Many parents think that the Early Christian way of raising children is supportive of punitive measures in parenting. Most American parents think that the Early Christians whipped their children, and that was how parenting was done then. However, the fact of the matter is that the Early Christian context is a valid attachment parenting context.

Christian attachment parenting is attachment parenting based off of the Early Christian context. We as a nation are founded on Judeo-Christian family values. The Bible is a founding document of this country, even above the Constitution itself. The Bible and its context are there for Americans to study and glean from. Nowhere in the Bible does it legitimately say to strike or punish a child. The seven passages in the book of Proverbs that mention the rod refer to the 40 minus 1 lashes, and are repealed verses today. The one passage in Hebrews that mentions the rod does so figuratively so, and does not refer to earthly parenting - the passage in Hebrews was intended to comfort the Hebrew Christians in their oppression from the Romans.

Christian attachment parenting is spelled out in Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parents and children in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See also Matt. 22:35-40.

The Greek root word translated "provoke..to wrath" is παροργίζο (Latin: parorgizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. The parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child hostage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating your child as a quartered slave. Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christians in the parish at Ephesus who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

The Greek root word translated "nurture" is παιδεία (Latin: paideia) and refers to here, in this context, modeling and encouraging Christian discipline in children. The Christian standard of discipline is deserving of absolutely nothing, therefore grateful for absolutely everything, coming from a sinful nature, leading to a chastened up example for children to follow. Christian parents in the Early Church centered their entitlement in view of their children, with children following in their parents' footsteps. Children in biblical times were caught being good, as opposed to being caught being bad. Whenever a child was caught by fathers showing good traits - such as sharing, being patient, or showing self-control - they were lavishly praised and encouraged with statements such as "keep headed down the straight path". Boys were given manly praise by fathers when caught being good, whereas girls were given a kiss to the forehead by fathers when caught being good. Children also need religious instruction. The Greek root word translated "admonition" is νουθεσία (Latin: nouthesia) and refers to the instruction of the Lord. Religious instruction started out with fathers leaving out a Bible for children to discover and explore. When children were caught by fathers reading the Bible, they were given lavish praise and encouragement with statements such as "that book is good for you". From there, religious instruction came in question and answer format, based off of what children saw in the text. Children were eager to learn the facts of life, and fathers were quick to give pointers on the context. Religious development is a part of child development, as religion is a human need for both children and adults alike. Younger children - in most cases past age 6 - start out with simplistic religious beliefs non-conforming to any religious denomination or sect. However, as children get older, they start to grow towards a specific religious denomination or sect. It may not be the religion you would choose, but at least they have values.

How do you motivate a child to hear out the instruction of their father? Why not start out with a secure attachment with mothers? For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness with mothers, meaning that wherever the mother went, so did her child. For the first 2 years of childhood, children were constantly held by mothers, either in her loving arms, or on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following mom from room to room, not allowing mom out of their line of sight, morbidly fearing that mom would "go away and never come back". Whenever the child cried, mothers responded to the cry by cooing at the child before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed and met the need petitioned by the child. Maybe the child was tired. Maybe the child was hungry. Maybe the child needed mom's milk. Maybe the child needed mom, period. When mothers and children under age 6 were out and about in public, mom wrapped up the child next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, with the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - being tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress that resembled an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to mothers in skin-on-skin format, with this skin-on-skin co-sleeping warmth happen every night from day one, until the onset of puberty, which is when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Children in biblical times went naked wherever they went, with mothers also going naked within the confines of the family home. This birth nudity setup helped facilitate easy skin-on-skin contact, with there being skin-on-skin friction every time the mother picked up her child.

Mothers nurture from up close, whereas fathers nurture from afar. Mothers provided unconditional love and warmth to children, like only a mother could do. Fathers were distant from children, especially during the first 6 years of childhood. This is because fathers had a sexual attachment to their children. But, even in the Early Church, fathers were not allowed any "icing on the cake". Sexual correction was something that happened in other cultures as a custom, not the Early Christian culture. Child sexual abuse was rare in the Early Church, even by today's standards. Instead, fathers were expected to masturbate righteously to sexual thoughts of their children. The Greek root word denoting lust in the New Testament is έπιθυμέω (Latin: epithumeo) and refers not to ordinary sexual desire, but to sexual entitlement. Sexual entitlement is defined as, officially speaking, sexual want, to the point of sexually motivated approach. You can look the look with your daughter, and think the think later. But, there is a big difference between thinking the think and doing the deed with your child. If your intent was to flirt with or proposition your daughter, you shouldn't even be approaching her. The most a Christian father in the Early Church could hope for would be his daughter enjoying being naked in his eyeshot, as she was otherwise well taken care of.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to wrath through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever into the lake of fire and burning sulfur,, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath day and night forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Child discipline: How to properly discipline your child (without punishment or force)

Many parents want their children to have discipline. However, most American parents equate discipline with punishment, and catch their child being bad before punishing them. However, the fact of the matter is that parents are not to punish their children in the course of disciplining them. Instead, parents are to catch their children being good, and praise and encourage them to keep up the good work.

Proper child discipline is spelled out in Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

What motivates children to hear out the instruction of their fathers? Why not start out with a secure attachment with mothers? For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness with mothers, meaning that wherever mothers went, so did her child. Fathers stay distant for much of a child's childhood due to having a sexual attachment with his children, especially his daughters. However, even then, fathers were not allowed their "icing on the cake". Fathers instead masturbated righteously to sexual thoughts of their child. The Greek root word denoting lust in the Bible is έπιθυμέω (Latin: epithumeo) and refers not to ordinary sexual desire, but instead refers here to parent sexual entitlement. It is okay to look the look at your children, or even think the think later. But, if your plan is to have sexual relations with your child, in any way, shape, or form, don't approach the approach. Merely approaching your child with intent to do the deed is a moral crime in and of itself. "The deed" refers to propositioning or flirting with a child, or else to touching them anywhere on their body with sexual intent. The way out of sexually abusing your child is to masturbate to sexual thoughts of your children. It may also help to know that sexual offenses against children are punishable by eternity in Hell. Fathers who masturbate to sexual thoughts of their children are capable of forming a stronger rapport with the children they teach the Bible to. In the Early Church, unlike most ancient cultures, fathers were not allowed to sexually correct a crying child. Crying children were exclusively the mother's domain.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to wrath through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God!

Righteous pampering: Why God wants parents to pamper their children

Many parents think that the answer in parenting is punishing children. Most American parents think that they have the so-called "right" to punish their children, and that "God" wants it to happen. The fact of the matter, however, is that parents are to pamper and baby their children. The Bible, as understood in context, calls for parents to pamper and baby their children.

Righteous pampering is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission.

This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their children as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and was understood in context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. The parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen as holding your child hostage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating your child as a quartered slave.

Righteous pampering does not mean any old pampering, but pampering children in a certain specific way, based off of the context. For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness to mothers, meaning that wherever mothers went, so did her child. For the first 2 years of childhood, children were constantly held by mothers, either in her loving arms, or else on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following mom from room to room, not letting mom out of their line of sight, morbidly fearing that mom would "go away and never come back". Whenever children cried, mothers cooed at their children before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed the need and then met the need. When mother and children under age 6 were out and about in public, mom wrapped up her young child next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, with the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - being tucked underneath the loose -fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to mothers in skin-on-skin format, with this skin-on-skin co-sleeping warmth happening every night, until the onset of puberty, which was when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Children went naked wherever they went, with mothers also going naked when within the confines of the family. This birth nudity setup facilitated easy skin-on-skin contact between mother and child, with children receiving skin-on-skin friction every time they were picked up by mothers.

Children past age 6 were allowed to play freely outside, naked. Children in biblical times ventured farther and farther from home, exploring the terrain, playing high-risk games such as "marriage". However, children needed to check in with mom first, and tell her where they were going. Come nightfall, children were called by name, one by one, and then were given a home cooked meal by mom. From there, children co-slept next to mothers in order to recharge for the next day of free play.

Children under age 6 were not allowed to play freely outside, and instead were protected in a sheltering way. In biblical times, children faced hazards such as venomous snakes and scorpions, with there being no antivenom back then for when the snake or scorpion bit their child. Today, the hazards are different yet the same - busy streets and oncoming traffic. Most children don't understand the dangers of the world outside the family home until after turning age 6. Most children wanted to constantly be with mom anyway, until they grew out of their separation anxiety around age 6.

Adults attracted to children: Individual responsibility for adults attracted to children

Many parents and other adults blame pedophiles for the epidemic of child sexual abuse. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. However, all adults are guilty in relation to children on the issue of child sexual abuse, as all adults are capable of child sexual abuse under the right/wrong conditions. Most pedophiles are the least likely of adults to rape or sexually assault a child.

All adults are guilty in relation to children, and are deserving of nothing but non-existence. Child sexual abuse is a moral crime against the child and the God that protects her that all adults are capable of committing under the right/wrong conditions. Most adults will never sexually abuse a child, but child sexual abuse is a once-and-a-lifetime opportunity that traps most adults that it confronts.

The Greek root word translated "lust" in the New Testament is έπιθυμέω (Latin: epithumeo) and refers not to ordinary sexual desire, but to sexual entitlement. Sexual entitlement is defined as, officially speaking, sexual want, to the point of sexually motivated approach. In relation to children, it is okay to look the look, or even think the think later. But, if your intent is to do the deed, don't approach a child. "Do the deed" means propositioning or flirting with a minor child, or else touching the child anywhere on their body for sexual gain. The way around approaching a child for sexual or flirtatious reasons is through righteous masturbation.

The idea behind unwanted sexual thoughts about children is to face them head on, and acknowledge that side of the psyche. The only way to truly acknowledge an adult's sexual side towards children is to masturbate to sexual thoughts of children. This recovers that repressed desire that we all have as adults.

Another strategy to be used alongside righteous masturbation is righteous avoidance. I am a pedophile. Under an amendment to my Christian beliefs, I am not to speak to children unless they speak to me first, and even then, keep it brief. My religious beliefs prohibit me from approaching a child that I find attractive, lest I earn myself a spot in Hell. The fear of eternity in Hell precludes me from pursuing children. I might otherwise want to flirt with a child, which is completely forbidden under my Christian beliefs.

Most adult attraction to young children takes place in parenting. The sexual dynamics in a household naturally go in the form of a criss-cross, with attractions to daughters being mutually unrequited, with a boy's attraction to his mother hitting a dead end. This dynamic starts as young as when the child is age 3. Most children sexually desire peers their own age come puberty, however. A parent needs to acknowledge their parent attraction through righteous masturbation. The idea is to spend it away until it is all gone.

A pedophile is the last class of adult to rape or sexually assault a child. Pedophilia is a mental health disorder that involves the primary or exclusive sexual preference for children under age 14. Pedophiles only make up 1-2% of the male population. A pedophile usually is immune to any anger towards a child, meaning that they DON'T get angry at children in most cases. I myself as a pedophile am never angry with a child, and don't understand what it is like to be such a viper. Most pedophiles have a child-centered form of autism where their main specialty in terms of knowledge and social skills is children. When you see a man with autism get along great with children, think pedophile, because most adults with autism find children annoying. I never find a child annoying, even when they are crying or carrying on. I dote on other people's children, with the desire to protect the child from their parents. Usually, the person sexually abusing a child is their parents, and they usually use their parent label as an excuse for abuse. With extrafamilial abuse, the main excuse is the word "adult", usually by saying "I am the adult here". An abuser pedophile wouldn't use either of those excuses, and would use the word "autism" as a handy excuse.

I myself am not like most pedophiles. I myself have a sin list a mile long in relation to children, meaning I have wronged and abused children as a pedophilic adult. I myself have a history of sexually harassing children, meaning I was an antisocial "flirt". Most pedophiles have a squeaky clean record, and that is because they internalized society's rules for interacting with children. I did not, and was an obvious abuser of children. I made my approach towards children obvious, meaning I made sexual advances towards children that I did not even try to conceal. Usually, an abuser pedophile is the creepy dude who, for example, might follow a child home from school. Most pedophiles know even that is wrong, with most pedophiles being a danger mainly to themselves. I am the outlier that points out by example what pedophilic sexual abuse looks like. I am a pedophilic adult who is deserving of nothing but non-existence merely for being the adult that I am. Don't we all as adults need to atone for things we have done to wrong or abuse a child? Even if it is only the capacity to abuse a child? Most adults have abused or wronged a child in the course of their lifetimes, and even if they have a squeaky clean track record, they sure are capable?

When accused of child sexual abuse as an adult, do not get angry or defensive. Christ said in His Sermon on the Mount to let your "yea" be "yea" and your "nay" be "nay". This means a Christian parent or adult is to answer to the court as their only defiance against false allegations. This means plead "yea" or "nay" in the court of the person making the allegation, and provide your evidence for your plea. If you simply defend yourself and fight the allegation, you can be presumed to be guilty just because of that. I myself am accused by a false accusator of raping my cousin in an attic. I did not commit rape against my cousin, but did do things considered sexual harassment under both the moral and secular laws. What I do is plead "nay" to the stated allegation of rape, but do tell what actually happened, in a way that does incriminate me - admitting guilt to prove innocence. We all have sinned against children at some point, even if that sin is existence, and so why not admit to something you did wrong to prove your honesty. Due to dealing with the allegations against me that way, I won over the support of the police, because I answered to the court of the police instead of rebelling against the higher authorities that God has instituted.

The depraved and decadent, defiled adults who rape or sexually assault children will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them descend into torrents of Hell-fire prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent!

Hebrews 12:5-8: Why this passage is not a pro-spanking passage

Many parents think that punishing children is acceptable as a way to discipline children. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. Most American parents use the Bible as an excuse for abuse. The false doctrine of "biblical spanking" is hinged on one passage taken out of context - Heb. 12:5-8.

God's Word states in Hebrews 12:5-8 KJV:

And ye have forgotten the exhortation that speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth wirh you as sons, for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastiisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

This passage, when understood correctly, is comforting to me. This passage was intended as comfort for the Hebrew Christians in their persecution from Rome. The Greek root word translated "scourgeth" is μαστιγόω (Latin: mastigoό) and can have a figurative meaning to it. This passage is about enduring all odds, meaning enduring hardship. The Hebrew Christians were persecuted by Rome, and Paul was validating with rod language how they felt about their persecution, which is a lot like being whipped. Rod language involves using the rod as a metaphor for enduring hardship. If you had a long day at work in the Early Church, you said "God whipped me hard today". Today, in this context, we say "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger".

God whips His children, like only He can, sending trials and tribulations their way. However, God whips His children only when it doesn't harm them. However, earthly parents only whip their children when it does harm them. Due to the flawed nature of earthly parents, earthly parents are to raise their children as comes naturally, meaning attachment parenting.

The passage in Heb. 12:5-8 is not about earthly parenting. However, there are passages in the Bible addressed to earthly parents. See Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That is may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their child just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See also Matt: 222-35-40.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to wrath" is παροργίζο (Latin: parorgizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and was understood in its original context, as moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children. Paul here was lifting up the Law to a group of Greek Christians in the parish at Ephesus who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

The Greek root word translated "nurture" is παιδεία (Latin: paideia) and refers here, in this context, to modeling and encouraging Christian discipline in children. The Christian standard of discipline is deserving of absolutely nothing, therefore being grateful for absolutely everything, coming from a sinful nature, leading to a chastened up example for children to follow. Christian parents in the Early Church centered their entitlement in view of their children, with children following in their parents' footsteps. Children in biblical times were caught being good, as opposed to being caught being bad. Whenever children were caught showing good traits - such as sharing, being patient, or showing self-control - they were lavishly praised and encouraged children with statements such as "keep headed down the straight path". Boys were given manly praise by fathers when caught being good, whereas girls were given a kiss to the forehead from fathers when caught being good. Children also need religious instruction. The Greek root word translated "admonition" is νουθεσία (Latin: nouthesia) and refers to the instruction of the Lord. Religious instruction started out with parents leaving out a Bible for children to discover and explore. When children were caught reading the Bible, they were given lavish praise and encouragement with statements such as "that book is good for you". From there, religious instruction came in question and answer format, based off of what children read in the text. Children were eager to learn the facts of life, and fathers were quick to give pointers on the context. Religious development is a part of child development, as religion is a human need for both children and adults alike. Young children - past age 6 - develop simplistic religious beliefs non-conforming to any religious denomination or sect. However, as children get older, they start to grow towards a specific religious denomination or sect. It may not be the religion you would choose, but at least they have values.

What motivates children to hear out the instruction of their fathers? Why not start out with a secure attachment with mothers? For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness to mothers, meaning that wherever the mother went, so did the child. For the first 2 years of childhood, children were constantly held by mothers, either in her loving arms, or on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following her around from room to room, not allowing mom out of their line of sight, morbidly fearing that mothers would "go away and never come back". Whenever children cried, mothers were quick to coo at their children before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed the need and met that need. When out and about in public, mothers wrapped up children under age 6 to her bosom in swaddling blankets, and from there the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - were tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress that resembles an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to mothers in skin-on-skin format, with that co-sleeping warmth happening every night, until the child reached the onset of puberty, which is when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Children in biblical times went naked wherever they went, with mothers also going naked within the confines of the family home. This birth nudity setup helped facilitate skin-on0skin contact whenever the child was picked up, with skin-on-skin friction happening every time mom picked up her children.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to wrath through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God!
