I am allowed, under my Christian beliefs, to masturbate to thoughts of children. I am just not allowed to brag about my fantasies by putting up pornography.

Masturbation encapsulates a pedophile's sexual desire towards children, meaning the sexual entitlement of the adult is centered away from the child. Masturbation rechannels the sexual desire inwards, so that the pedophile has total and complete choice as to where their sex drive goes.
