Why now?: The main skeptical question coming from survivors

 Many trauma survivors these days are not anti-pedophile in the sense that mental health discrimination and hatred against pedophiles is okay, but that some do abuse others, either children or survivors, and we need to know who those pedophiles are. Most are of the opinion that non-offending pedophiles are rare. However, research shows that this isn't the case. 

Children's rights communities are research communities, including when examining pedophile text. Many pedophiles, when they get into such communities, deem the community a hostile place, for whatever reason. Some are clearly here for the wrong reasons, and are the "drug pusher" types - slicked back hair, leather jacket, to battle with women, just because of having a trauma they hate. This also included rape and burglaries known as "ransacks" where gentle parents were held up while their children were raped, and then they were bludgeoned and/or raped as well. Others were victims of grooming from predatory male members of the community, where the women of the community

Now, in the children's rights movement in the United States, a pedophile has came forward as an honest witness for the primary prevention of child sexual abuse. This has been due to a major turnaround in opinion. Most American advocates, unlike in countries such as the UK and Ireland, have internalized the fact that not all pedophiles are child sexual abusers, and quite a few, at the very least, are simply ordinary citizens with an attraction. This was originally a children's rights idea, to the core, but has been widely by promoted by pedophile-led organizations such as Virtuous Pedophiles. I would not label VP a parental rights organization, but a children's rights satellite in terms of caregiver peer support. Think of our movement being the radio tower, and many pedophiles at VirPed quietly supporting that message, while not wanting to credit its source to the presence of children's rights traumatics on such sites...I, myself, might be that first pedophile to "make contact" in a proper manner.

It is called the "dunkelfeld" in Germany, and the "potholes" here in our movement. It is a vast plain consisting of individuals who have not come forward about their pedophilic condition. Pedophiles, as a population, can be viewed as a plain going upwards, in terms of visibility. The most visible and vocal of pedophiles are either criminals and/or permissive parents who support lowering the age of consent, perhaps down to zero. The majority of pedophiles, however, were never found, and were never treated by the mental health system. Most remain completely closeted, but fit a profile separate from your average infiltrator - autistic, introverted, distant from other adults, child-centered in personality and worldview, children's rights supporter at some level (if they are non-abusive). Some pedophilic parents do spank, but are among the most likely to take different advice - think a father saying "I wish there was a different way to deal with children, but there isn't in the real world". You can educate someone like him on the spanking issue, and it would be much easier than with other parents, and this is due to the level and type of attachment involved, in terms of conflation. Most pedophiles I've known are anti-spanking, and usually do not see it as a profound belief, but just common sense. This is due to the fact that pedophiles humanize children more than ordinary adults, but conflate it with sexual connotations - it usually is simply a connotational attraction, hence why it can remain hidden real well. Most seem to live a very frightened existence, and more are a danger to themselves than anyone else. Clinical pedophiles are very different people than the abusers that the ignorant media deems "pedophiles", which are basically scum who abuse children. Such child victims could well also be pedophiles, and that should be made carefully relevant in the realm of mental health treatment for the trauma imposed by the perpetrator. Children/pedophiles are at the very bottom of the heap, in terms of marginalization of pedophiles. Pedophiles, as children, tend to take abuse and trauma hard, as they tend not to defend their abusive parents, but hate them growing up.

I have a unique public view of pedophiles as an advocate for a reason. It isn't that they are never abusers, but that they are a low priority to anyone except an adult who refuses to take responsibility for their abusive and hurtful actions towards children (which we all, as adults, have perpetrated). Most abusive adults are not pedophiles, but instead simply entitled - they feel that children owe them things. Most pedophiles are victims, in fact, under this scale, and a majority of pedophiles have been known by the professionals treating them to support youth rights. Even the conservative ones. Most sexual abusers, however, are authoritarian conservatives in the United States and Canada, meaning they likely are not pedophiles under the clinical definition. Most adults abuse children using lawful physical, verbal, and emotional means. That means pedophiles, by the clinical definition, are actually less likely than many other populations to be a entitled child abuser and defend the harm inflicted upon a child. Most pedophiles are reformatory adults, whereas most ordinary adults are not. 1 out of 4 pedophiles do, in fact, abuse, so pedophiles aren't perfect. No group of adults are, but why focus all your energy on a small community that has very little to do with child abuse today.

There is no one group of people orchestrating child abuse like some switchboard. It is the individual choices of every single adult that constitute our child abuse epidemic, guided by the misuse of our Christian family values - basically colonialism imposed on Christian parents (spanking comes more from outdated aspects of the English common law), with such parents making up the majority of pro-spanking parents. The majority of sexual abusers are pro-spanking in ideology, whereas their pedophile victims tend to be anti-spanking and pro-child in worldview.

The fact of the matter is that we falsely recognized the fraudulent identity of a group of people that basically feigned a pedophile. "Pedophilia", as a term, was long misused a sport, meaning "picking up" teenage girls, "hoping they are younger", or else trauma survivors in abuse in ageplay situations, when an actual pedophile, meaning a pedophile, meaning a pedophile, is attracted to young children age 14 and younger. It is a hormonal imbalance in the brain, stemming from puberty, when sexual development is arrested at the onset of puberty, or sometime later. Most boys start out attracted to girls, or else boys, their age and a few years younger than them. A pedophile, in terms of sexual development, is a kid that never grew up. We have seen very few cases like that here, because peacekeepers tend to prey on them. If you are a pedophile and a self-advocate, it is very dangerous work sometimes, and you need to be made of steel, so to speak, so you don't go nuts. Most pedophiles have arrested sexual development due to a developmental disorder such as autism of ADHD. It is a genetic trait associated with such disorders...I am hoping my input so far does give children's rights researchers here a chance to understand pedophiles, and understand the primary prevention of child abuse as well. Most here have been understanding. The "old boomers" who have been known to kill a few pedophiles in the 1970s and 80s are now becoming very moderate except to the ones who truly cause trouble, but often want to put on a facade of harshness that they want you to see through. Most will say "pedophile" and imply only predatory pedophiles, leaving you to guess how they feel about the victims with the condition - it's more a feeling of pity than anything. "Why would you even turn out this way? I just don't get it". They do not see it as a good thing at all, but a highly unfortunate mental disorder, in a humanizing way towards non-offending pedophiles. That's when they see it up close. Otherwise, it's like "let them have their group. All they are doing is talking about their benign attraction to children, and referring to it as pedophilia, so leave them alone".

The short answer as to how trauma survivors ended up feeling about my condition - most don't care, and wish to only see it when they want. So, discussion of the topic of non-offending pedophiles, by default, should exist only here within the children's rights community. I am not, on religious grounds, to speak of it elsewhere except when questioned.
