Is pedophilia a sexual orientation?

Yes. And so is everything else, good or bad. 

Pedophilia is sexual attraction to children under age 14, and can be officially diagnosed as young as age 16. Pedophilic disorder is a mental illness because of the fact that the target of said desires could suffer long-term traumatic harm. Anything like that which can cause harm is a mental illness. 

Should pedophilia be worn as a badge of "sexual pride"? No. It is a sexuality from a purely scientific level, with "sexuality" refers to the defining nature of the condition in terms of worldview in terms of children, meaning irrelevant in most aspects of life. 

The concept of sexual orientation does, in fact, exist in my writing, without the need to shout out the phrase every single sentence. I just discuss the issue calmly, and in a level-headed yet academic manner, and people know what I mean, and I know that they mean that they mean. That's all you have to do. I get it - it is scientifically classified as an age-oriented sexual orientation, and I affirm the science, in fact. But out in the open? Don't we have too much out in the open and legal already? Neon lights. It seems that's where this country is headed on this issue. Down the toilet. 

Marriage was intended by God as between one man and one woman in holy matrimony. God left room for same-sex marriages as well. There's not much other room for anything on God's table of goodies. Self-stimulation behind closed doors? That's it. Sexual mores are getting way loose, and way out of control. We need to reel back our sexual mores as a society, and go back to the Christian purity standards that we have lived by since our founding.

We can do that accept pedophiles on a clinical basis, as a responsible mental illness where individuals can choose not to abuse a child.
