Why children's rights beliefs can cure an ideological peacekeeper - Fook GirlChat

I'm cured. I used your ideas, dear gentle parents. VirPed didn't help.

The Virtuous Pedophiles forums are for pedophiles who hate children sexually in terms of entitlement by supporting a lower age of consent or no age of consent. I wasn't entirely there yet. Almost, but struggling. I was trying to use their board to convince myself that sex with children was wrong.

I decided to give the children's rights community a try - works! I did a few posts on an old blog, End Legalized Violence, that dealt with the age of consent. 18, with no exception. We don't want kids having sex. Down the ramp. I politely disagree with anyone under age 18 who disagrees with me, and wants it slightly lower, but it just won't work. Blurs the boundaries. It may well work to some degree, but isn't the best fit. If someone who is under a power of attorney cannot consent to sexual activity, neither can a child, as the age of majority is a permanent/temporary power of attorney, where all adults, but especially parents, have guardianship/custody over children. Someone in such a dependent state has so much power taken away from them that they can't consent. That will never change, due to the fact that a child - an individual under age 18 - is immature emotionally and otherwise. That immaturity, according to research, extends beyond the age of 18, into the mid 20s, but we have to draw the line somewhere.

It is okay to disagree with a child, but do so respectfully. Never with punishment. With the individual I'm referring to, I agree to disagree with much of her politics. She is a respected member of this community, and I don't want to alienate her.

Any comment that

3. Contains self-entitled parent rhetoric, to the point of self-victimization

will not be published. Flexible application. Debate is allowed, but only civil arguments that presume the best of intentions in their opponent, on both sides.
