Adult attraction to children: Individual responsibility to end child sexual abuse

Many parents think that child sexual abuse prevention is about spotting pedophiles and naming and shaming them. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. The fact of the matter is that pedophiles are not the problem. Adults are the problem, meaning all adults in relation to children. All adults have the duty to abstain from sexual abuse of children. Not just some. All adults.

Every single adult is guilty merely for existing in relation to children, and is deserving of nothing but DEATH and PUNISHMENT merely for existing in relation to children as the sexually entitled adults that they are. Every single adult is capable of child sexual abuse under the right/wrong conditions. That doesn't mean every adult will sexually abuse a child, but all are capable.

All adults presumably have a sexual attraction to children somewhere under their belt, usually at the unaware level. All adults are attracted to teenagers at some level, with 20% of men being sexually attracted to prepubescent children, with this attraction usually being secondary in the adult.

What is the solution? Righteous masturbation to children is the only way out of being at-risk for sexually abusing a child. The Greek root word denoting lust in the New Testament is έπιθυμέω (Latin: epithumeo) and refers not to ordinary sexual desire, but to sexual entitlement. Sexual entitlement is defined as, officially speaking, sexual want, to the point of sexually motivated approach. It is okay to look the look at children, and even think the think about them later. But, if you do the deed with a child, you probably shouldn't have approached them. Doing the deed involves flirting with or propositioning a child, as well as touching a child anywhere on their body for sexual reasons. The only way out of approaching a child for sexually motivated reasons is to masturbate to sexual thoughts of children.

I am a pedophile. I myself masturbate regularly to sexual thoughts of children. It helps keep my sexual drive towards children in check, as it purges all unrequited lusts towards children. I myself also use righteous avoidance techniques such as tarring the prospect of sexual relations with a child with images of Hell. I masturbate to sexual thoughts of children intentionally in order to stay out of trouble, and it works. I now have attraction only at the connotational level, meaning like a spray tan on the exposed skin of the child.

Most pedophiles are the last people to sexually abuse a child. A pedophile is usually aware of their sexual attraction to children. Most adults do have a sexual attraction to children as well, but on the secondary level, in unaware format. A pedophile usually has a form of autism where they specialize in children in terms of intense interest, with their sexual preferences reflecting their passion for nurturing children. Most pedophiles who sexually abuse a child operate on the surface, in the form of sexual harassment of a child, and don't understand the gravity of their behavior. I myself am that type of pedophilic adult - I am currently under investigation for sexually harassing my cousin in an attic at my grandparents' former home. I plead "yea" to the court of the police not for the rape that I was accused of, but the sexual harassment that did happen.

Aren't we all as adults sexually attracted to children in some way, in some form? Even in the case of women, teenage boys are at least a curiosity. Most men are attracted to teenage girls, and some men are attracted secondarily to children under age 14. If an adult is convicted by this message, they should dig deep into their attraction to children using righteous masturbation. Most men are most attracted to their daughters, whereas most women are most attracted to teenage boys outside of family ties.

Most child sexual abuse is a crime of opportunity, usually based off of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rape or sexually assault a child. Most child sexual abuse happens when the sexual attraction to children in an adult is repressed, with the sexual drive for children then coming out sideways onto the child, like a ton of bricks. Some sexual offenders operate on the surface, in the form of sexual harassment, and those adults are pedophiles. I myself am guilty of sexual harassment in relation to children, and am deserving of absolutely nothing from children due to that sin count of mine towards children.

Child sexual abuse usually exists in sexually permissive environments, or else sexually repressed environments, but usually sexually repressed environments. Repressing something as powerful as a sexual drive is bound to lead to that sex drive coming out sideways. The idea is to face those attractions head on, and follow the repressed sexual thoughts to the end using righteous masturbation. Most of the time, the masturbation alone spends away the attraction, in which case it then needs to be tended to rarely. If you keep masturbating and the attractions aren't spent away, you are a pedophile and need to own up to it.

The depraved and decadent, defiled adults who rape or sexually assault children will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them descend into torrents of Hell-fire prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent!

Time-in: Why mammary closeness is the biblical way of doing time-in

Many parents think that children need to be punished when they cry. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. Most parents these days opt for time-out when dealing with their children, usually alongside the occasional disciplinary spanking. However, time-in is becoming more popular. Most time-in is done by way of either the mother kneeling down to the child, or else the child going to a calming corner. However, the biblical way of doing time-in is mammary closeness.

Mammary closeness is the optimal way to bond with your child, and deal with their cries. Mammary closeness is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parents and children in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See also Matt. 22:35-40; 25:31-46.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refer to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and was understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. The parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child hostage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating your child as a quartered slave. Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christians who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

There are many ways to do time-in, such as kneeling down to the child's level, or else direct the child to a calming corner. However, there is one way to do time-in the biblical way - mammary closeness. Whenever children cried, mothers cooed at their children before picking them up, and from there, the child was held in mammary closeness to the bosom of mothers. Children went naked wherever they went in biblical times, and mothers went naked in the family home, with even picking up a child leading to skin-on-skin mammary closeness.

A big part of mammary closeness is breastfeeding. Whenever children who were milk-dependent were held close to the bosom of mothers in mammary closeness, they were offered the teat of mothers. Whenever children cried, they were offered the teat of their mothers, breastfeeding their child to sleep. Mothers knew when to introduce solid foods - the child pushed away the teat of the mother.

The bosom of mothers was not primarily designed for men to sexualize. Instead, the bosom area of mothers was intended to nurture children. The moment you try to use your bosom as a mother for mothering, you will regret not doing it sooner.

Mammary closeness also happened in public as well as in private. Mammary closeness for a child under age 6 was ensured by way of swaddling. Mothers, when out and about with young children under age 6, wrapped up their children next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, thereby giving her child mammary closeness. The swaddling blankets - and the child with them - were tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. The swaddling blankets were tied to the left breast of the mother, and then from across the dot to her right leg, or vice versa, or both in the case of twins. Whenever a child cried, the swaddling made the child's cries pacified in nature, with mothers holding the crying child even closer to her bosom in swaddling blankets. Milk-dependent children were given a chance to be breastfed to sleep in the mammary closeness of mothers. The swaddling blankets were made of velvet, which was grown throughout the Ancient Middle East.

It is a common belief among gentle parents that children should be put in a calming corner as a form of time-in. However, a mother should always be there for her child, able to offer mammary closeness whenever the child needed something. From there, the mother should diagnose the need and then meet it. Children need skin-on-skin mammary closeness when crying in order for mothers to gel a bond with their child. Children, for the first 6 years of childhood, need their mother to be there at all times for them, as most children that young have separation anxiety, which is normal for children that age.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to anger through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath day and night forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Christian attachment parenting: Why the Early Christians were attachment parents

Many parents think that attachment parenting is the irresponsible parenting choice. Most American parents are opposed to attachment parenting. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. However, most parents do not know the Truth on parenting in the Bible - the Early Christians were attachment parents, not punitive parenting.

America is a Christian nation, founded on Judeo-Christian values. The Bible is a founding document of this country, even above the Constitution itself. We as a nation glean from the Bible and its context as to how society should be set up. Nowhere in the Bible does it legitimately say to punish or be controlling with a child. The most that happened in the Old Testament was the rare judicial whipping, as a final warning before putting a criminal offender to death. Those harsh punishments were abolished by Christ's work on the cross.

Christian attachment parenting is summed up in Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See Matt. 22:35-40; 25:31-46.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to wrath" is παροργίζο (Latin: parorgizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christians in the parish at Ephesus who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing their children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

The Greek root word translated "nurture" is παιδεία (Latin: paideia) and refers to here, in this context, modeling and encouraging Christian discipline in children. The Christian standard of discipline is deserving of absolutely nothing, therefore grateful for absolutely everything, coming from a sinful nature, leading to a chastened up example for children to follow. Christian parents in the Early Church centered their entitlement in view of their children, with children following in their parents' footsteps. Children in biblical times were caught being good, as opposed to being caught being bad. Whenever children were caught by fathers showing good traits - such as sharing, being patient, or showing self-control - they were lavishly praised and encouraged with statements such as "keep headed down the straight path". Boys were given manly praise when caught by fathers being good, whereas girls were given a kiss to the forehead by fathers when caught being good. Children also need religious instruction. The Greek root word translated "admonition" is νουθεσία (Latin: nouthesia) and refers to the instruction of the Lord. Religious instruction started out with fathers leaving out a Bible for children to discover and explore. When children were caught reading the Bible, they were lavishly praised and encouraged with statements such as "that book is good for you". From there, religious instruction came in the form of question and answer, based off of what children saw in the text. Children were eager to learn the facts of life, and fathers were quick to give pointers on the context. Religious development is a part of child development, as religion is a human need for children and adults alike. Younger children - past age 6 - start out with simplistic religious beliefs non-conforming to any religious denomination or sect. However, as children get older, they grow towards a specific religious denomination or sect. It may not be the religion that you would choose, but at least they have values.

What motivates a child to hear out the instruction of fathers? Why not start out with a secure attachment with mothers? For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness, meaning that wherever mothers went, so did her child. For the first 2 years of childhood, mothers held children constantly, either in her loving arms, or else on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following her from room to room, not allowing mom out of their line of sight, fearing morbidly that mom would "go away and never come back". Whenever children cried, mothers cooed at children before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed the need and met it. Maybe the child was tired. Maybe the child was hungry. Maybe the child needed mom's milk. Maybe the child needed mom, period. When mothers and children under age 6 were out and about, mom wrapped up the child next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, with the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to mothers in skin-on-skin format, with this skin-on-skin co-sleeping warmth happening every time, until the onset of puberty, which is when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Children went naked in biblical times wherever they went, with mothers also going naked within the confines of the family home. This birth nudity helped facilitate easy skin-on-skin contact, with skin-on-skin friction happening every time a child was even picked up.

Mothers nurture from up close, and fathers nurture from afar. Fathers kept their distance from their children, and left the up close nurturing to mothers. This was because of a sexual attachment between father and child, with this sexual attachment usually being towards daughters. However, in the Early Christian culture - unlike other ancient societies - fathers could not have their "icing on the cake". The most fathers could hope for was daughters enjoying being naked in the eyeshot of their fathers. The Greek root word denoting lust is έπιθυμέω (Latin: epithumeo) and refers not to ordinary sexual desire, but to sexual entitlement. Sexual entitlement is defined as, officially speaking, sexual want, to the point of sexually motivated approach. It is okay to look the look, and maybe think the think later, even concerning your daughter as a father. But, there is a big difference between thinking the think and doing the deed/ If you did the deed with a child - even by flirting or propositioning - you should not have approached her. Even if she is right there in a swimsuit, flirting and propositioning a child is the same as doing the deed. Doing the deed also means touching a child anywhere on their body with sexual intent. The only way out of the approach is in - righteous masturbation is a good way to stay out of trouble. Try it once, and you will have immediate self-control over your sexual behavior. What also helps is aversion imagery, with me using images of Hell to deter me from doing the deed with a child, or even approaching her. Under no circumstance, however, was sexual relations with a child lawful in the Early Church. Even marriages had to be equal in terms of both age and place of life, with the father being able to stop an unequal marriage right at the exchange of vows. Father-daughter incest was completely unlawful in the Early Church.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke their children to wrath through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath day and night forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Preventing public meltdowns: How to prevent public meltdowns in children

Many parents have to deal with it. A young child kicking and screaming when throwing a temper tantrum. This is a common sight in today's stores and supermarkets. However, in biblical times, children rarely threw loud temper tantrums in public. That is largely because young children were swaddled by their mothers, and because children got most everything that they wanted anyway.

Using swaddling blankets is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission.

This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home/ This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return. See also Matt. 22:35-40; 25:31-46.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child in his secular writings. Paul may not have gotten along with the women of the church, but he sure loved children, and even took in a few orphaned children during his time as a deacon.

Children in biblical times almost never kicked and screamed in public. That was because mothers wore their young children on her bosom in swaddling blankets. Children under age 6 were wrapped up next to the bosom of mothers in swaddling blankets. The swaddling blankets - and the child with them - were then tucked under the loose-fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. The swaddling blankets were tied to the left breast, then across the dot to the right leg, or vice versa, or both in the case of twins. When children cried while swaddled, they cried silently, with mothers holding the child closer to her bosom, with milk-dependent children latching onto the teat of the mother. The swaddling blankets were intended to cover children for their nudity (children went naked at home), and to pacify the child's cries - children cry silently when swaddled right next to the bosom of mothers in skin-on-skin format. The swaddling blankets were made of velvet, which was grown throughout the Ancient Middle East.

Most children growing up in the Early Church got most everything that they wanted, and absolutely everything that they needed, even when in public. When children were taken to market, they were always allowed the sweets off of the shelf. Sometimes, the children wanted to pardon a pet lamb, in which case the mother bought the child the lamb without slaughtering it later. Parents, under customary law, had to say "yes" to their child far more than the word "no", when out and about with their child. The only thing that Christian parents then said "no" to was showy jewelry, as making a fashion statement was what was deemed immodest under Christian law. Even when children were swaddled next to mothers, children simply pointed to the item that they wanted, and mothers got the item off of the shelf.

A child should hear the word "no" seldom, meaning almost never. However, when children have to hear the word "no", that word should come with an explanation and reassurance. Mothers can reassure their child through cooing at them, and then picking them up and holding them. Milk-dependent children were offered the teat of mothers. Most children were weaned by age 2, but some children weren't weaned until age 6, with weaning happening when the child refused to latch onto the teat of mothers. Beyond that point, mothers simply held their children in close skin-on-skin warmth.

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is ar hand!

Righteous co-sleeping: Why God wants you to sleep next to your child

Many parents think that co-sleeping is the irresponsible choice for a parent. Most American parents forego using co-sleeping as a way to bond with their children. However, the fact of the matter is that the Bible, as understood in context, endorses co-sleeping as good suggestion. The idea behind proper attachment parenting is to use the context as a guidepost.

Righteous co-sleeping is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission, with the burden of proof falling squarely on the part of the parent.

This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

It is common knowledge that children refuse to go to bed. This is a reason for punishment in many American homes. Many times in American homes, children are oftentimes punished for refusing to go to bed. However, the fact of the matter is that children under age 6 are too young to go to bed on their own. Children age 6 and under have primal fears of being devoured by predators. Many parents might say that there are no predators to be found in the context of the modern family home. However, predators exist in many homes in human format. Most child sexual abuse comes in the form of a bedtime ritual. The mothers in the Early Church solved this problem by allowing children to co-sleep next to them in skin-on-skin format. The mother slept in between the children and the man of the house, ready to use herself as a human shield if necessary. Usually, sexual abuse from fathers could not happen because the mother was right there.

The main argument keeping parents from co-sleeping next to their children is fearmongering of "sleep dependence" from pediatricians and mental health professionals serving children. However, the fact of the matter is that most co-sleeping in biblical times lasted until the onset of puberty, which is when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Sometimes, children want to co-sleep past the onset of puberty, which is a sign that they have a developmental disorder such as autism or ADHD. Even then, all co-sleeping has an end to it. I slept next to my mother until age 16, which is when I wanted to prove my independence by sleeping all by myself.

Righteous co-sleeping is a way to gel the bond between mother and child, and secondarily between father and child. The family bed in the Early Church was naked in terms of who was sleeping in it. The context of co-sleeping is where children got most of the skin-on-skin warmth that they needed. Even when children were mobile enough to play outside on their own, they almost always retired to the family bed come nightfall. This skin-on-skin co-sleeping ended when children reached the onset of puberty. Sometimes, co-sleeping ended sooner or later than the onset of puberty, in which case all co-sleeping had an end.

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Righteous pampering: Why God wants you to pamper your child

Many parents think that it is not a good choice to pamper your children. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. Most American parents don't even want to be seen as pampering children. However, the Bible, as understood in context, says to pamper and baby your child.

Righteous pampering is part of the Christian doctrine of mutual submission, with parents bearing the burden of proof towards their children.

This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment ultimately comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including, but not limited to, any punishments, reprimands, or other controlling demeanor towards children.

Righteous pampering doesn't mean any old pampering, but pampering children in a certain specific way. For the first 6 years of childhood, children growing up in the Early Church were in constant closeness to their mothers, meaning that wherever the mother went, so did her child. For the first 2 years of childhood, children were constantly held by their mothers, either in her loving arms, or on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following her from room to room, not letting mom out of their sight, morbidly fearing that mom would "go away and never come back". Whenever children cried, mothers cooed at their children before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed and met the need. Maybe the child was tired. Maybe the child was hungry. Maybe the child needed mom's milk. Maybe the child needed mom, period. Whenever mothers and children under age 6 were out and about, mom wrapped up the child next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, with the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - being tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to mothers in skin-on-skin format, with this skin-on-skin co-sleeping warmth happening every night, until the onset of puberty, which is when most children wanted their own place to sleep. Children went naked wherever they went, with mothers also going naked within the confines of the family home. This birth nudity setup helped facilitate easy skin-on-skin contact, with children experiencing skin-on-ski friction every time the child was picked up.

After children turned age 6, children played freely outside, while naked. Children ventured farther and farther from home each day, exploring the terrain, playing high-risk games such as "marriage". However, children had to check in with mom before playing outside. Come nightfall, children were called one by one by name, and then were fed a nice, warm meal on a porcelain plate, cooked by mom. From there, children co-slept next to mothers, recharging for another day's play. Children past age 6 learned not through going to school, but through their own natural curiosity, with this including religious learning and instruction.

Children under age 6 were rarely allowed to be outside except when swaddled next to the bosom of mothers. This was because mothers then knew that children could not comprehend the dangers existing outside of the family home. Dangers then included venomous snakes and scorpions, with there being no antivenom then. Today, the dangers for children include busy streets and oncoming traffic. Mothers of children under age 6 are advised to keep their children home, nursing them and tending to them in skin-on-skin format.

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Hebrews 12:5-8: Why this passage is not a pro-spanking passage

Many parents do still punish and reprimand their children. This is a common bad habit on the part of American parents. Most American parents still use the Bible as an excuse for punishing or being controlling with a child. The main biblical argument for punitive parenting hinges on Heb. 12:5-8. But, even this excuse does not hold up to theological scrutiny.

God's Word reads in Hebrews 12:5-8 KJV:

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

This passage, when interpreted correctly, is comforting to me. This passage was received in the original context by the Hebrew Christians as reassurance for being persecuted by the Romans, as was intended by the Apostle Paul. The Greek root word translated "scourgeth" is μαστιγόω (Latin: mastigoó) and can have a figurative meaning to it, as it does in this context. This passage is about enduring all odds in the face of your persecutor. The modern way to put this passage is "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger".

God whips His children, like only He can, sending trials and tribulations the way of the believer. However, God only whips His children when it doesn't harm them. Earthly parents only whip their children when it does harm them. Due to the flawed nature of earthly parents, earthly parents are not to parent like God does. Instead, earthly parents are to bring up their children as comes naturally, meaning attachment parenting. Heb. 12:5-8 does not refer to earthly parenting. However, there are passages that deal with earthly parents. See Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure. vulnerable rest in the love and submission of parents. This word ultimately refers to a secure attachment between parent and child in the family home. This secure attachment comes from parent submission, where parents are to submit to their children just as they would to God, from beneath yet from above, expecting absolutely nothing in return.

Paul here was lifting up the Law in order to convict a group of Greek Christians in the parish at Ephesus who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church.

The Christian standard of discipline is deserving of absolutely nothing, therefore grateful for absolutely everything, coming from a sinful nature, and leads to a chastened up example for children to follow. Boys were given manly praise by fathers when caught being good, whereas girls were given a kiss to the forehead by fathers when caught being good. Children also need religious instruction. The Greek root word translated "admonition" is νουθεσία (Latin: nouthesia) and refers to the instruction of the Lord. Religious instruction started out with fathers leaving out a Bible for children to discover and explore, with most children learning to read on that Bible. When children were caught reading the Bible, they were lavishly praised and encouraged with statements such as "that book is good for you". From there, religious instruction came in question and answer format, based off of what children saw in the text. Children were eager to learn the facts of life, with fathers being quick to give pointers on the context. Religious development is a part of child development, with religion being a human need for children and adults alike. Younger children - past age 6 - start out having simplistic beliefs non-conforming to any religious denomination or sect. However, as children get older, they start to grow towards a specific religious denomination or sect. It may not be your choice of religion, but at least they have values.

What motivates children to hear out the instruction of their fathers? Why not start out with a secure attachment with mothers? For the first 6 years of childhood, children were in constant closeness to mothers, meaning that wherever the mother went, so did her child. For the first 2 years of childhood, children were constantly held by mothers, either in her loving arms, or else on mom's back in a papoose bag when her hands were full. Between ages 2-6, children ranged next to mothers, following her from room to room, not allowing mom out of their sight, morbidly fearing that mom would "go away and never come back". Whenever children cried, mothers cooed before picking them up, and from there, she diagnosed the need and then met it. Maybe the child was tired. Maybe the child was hungry. Maybe the child needed mom's milk. Maybe the child needed mom, period. When mothers and children under age 6 were out and about in public, mom wrapped them up next to her bosom in swaddling blankets, with the swaddling blankets - and the child with them - being tucked underneath the loose-fitting, revealing dress worn by mothers that resembled an apron. Come nightfall, children co-slept next to their mothers in skin-on-skin format, with this skin-on-skin co-sleeping warmth happening every night, until the onset of puberty, which is when children wanted their own place to sleep in most cases. Children went naked wherever they went, with mothers also going naked within the confines of the family home. This birth nudity setup helped facilitate easy skin-on-skin contact, with children experiencing skin-on-skin sustaining warmth every time they were picked up.

Expanding child abuse definitions: Why the Bible calls for tougher laws on the books protecting children from abuse
