Many modern feminists in particular support it. Many religious conservatives oppose it. Abortion had a lot of support in America. Many American mothers in particular support the termination of a pregnancy - until they get one themselves. The fact of the matter is that not only does life begin at conception, but that abortion is bad for women.
The Sixth Commandment not to murder is repeated in Revelation 21:8 KJV:
But the fearful, the unbelieving, the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
The Greek root word translated "murderers", and referring to murder in general, is φονος (Latin: phonos) and refers here to any death apart from natural death. All death caused by human beings is considered murder under God's Law. Christ abolished even the death penalty on the cross. Abortion existed even then, in the form of abortifacient herbs, and those herbs were prohibited as contraband in both the Early Church and the Old Testament. No abortions were ever performed in the Old Testament context, or else it would be seen as murder. Most women who got abortions in the Early Church were cold mothers who lacked nurturant drive, and those women were hated among the Early Christians.
Abortion is not simply the doctor reaching in and taking out the baby. An abortion instead consists of a medically-induced miscarriage. An abortifacient is a drug that induces miscarriage Most women who know this about abortions know not to get one. Most women are too nurturant to get an abortion, with only the most cold-hearted of women defend their choice to get an abortion.
Abortion also benefits men. If a man doesn't want a woman to get pregnant, he can simply keep it in his pants. Abortion "rights" for women benefit the sleazy type of man that does not want to pay child support or be responsible for a young child's upbringing. Too many men are running away from responsibility, and hiding behind on-demand abortion in order to escape male responsibility. A man who evades the leadership role in the family home as worse than an infidel. See 1 Tim. 5:8.
An unborn child is a human life. From the point of conception, the unborn child has both the genes of their mother and their father. An unborn child is a genetically distinct human being even from their siblings who are already born. All alternate definitions of life are arbitrary, and are based off of leftist bias as to what is human life.
Most all of the Early Feminists were pro-life to the core, and warned their sisters about the dangers of abortions. Most of the Early Feminists could otherwise be explosive in their pro-social opposition to men. The mainstream feminist narrative changed with the influence of eugenicists such as Margaret Sanger. Some of us at feminists never bought into that tripe, including feminist men like me who strive to respect women.
I support taking care of all human life, from the womb to the tomb, meaning from conception until natural death. I support a social safety net starting with extensive family leave policies enshrined into law. The Bible is clear about taking care of the poor and the vulnerable, and says that refusing to care for the poor and the vulnerable. See Matt. 25:31-46.
I oppose abortion in all cases, including rape, incest, or life of the mother. Rape victims can see their baby as their baby, and not the rapist's baby. A child conceived in the context of incest can be seen as welcome even if they weren't planned. If the mother dies in childbirth, men are able to nurture if they want to. The idea is to get through the minds of most men that caring for a child is somehow "emasculating". Men have nipples for a reason - they can lactate themselves if they want to. A man who does not step up for his child when the mother dies in childbirth is worse than an infidel.
The depraved and entitled mothers who murder in the womb, and all who aid and abet, will not inherit the the Kingdom of God! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath day and night forever and ever! Repent!
