Pro-social listening, pro-social confidant: Why parents should be good listeners to their children

Many parents believe children should listen to them, and don't take the time to listen to their children's emotions or upsets. This is an unfortunate part of our parent. Christian love is the basis of biblical parenting, and part of loving children is listening to them.

Every single parent and adult is guilty in relation to children, and are deserving of DEATH and DESTRUCTION merely for existing in relation to children. Parents are to be convicted of their depraved sin nature meekly and shamefacedly, prioritizing their child's needs before their own, to the point of dutiful and selfless submission to the every need of children from above, with children resting securely from below. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
