Stop framing Robbyn

Yep, whenever my beliefs on mandatory reporting come up, I get twist-tied. Apparently, the word "adult" and "child" were switched. Those anti-CR folks do not get VirPed values, and butcher them in these cases. They claimed to Robbyn that the common VP stance was that the child needed to remove themselves from the situation and "play abuser". That is not what we believe at all.

We at VP believe in the individual responsibility of ADULTS to remove themselves from abusive situations, and therapists should assist and guide such a choice of a parent/adult, not simply report clients to the authorities. The ideal I describe is the law in Germany, but very few other places in the world. In Pennsylvania, therapists can only report based on a specifically disclosed incident, and otherwise have to work with the client, or else send them to a better-equipped therapist in terms of patience and expertise. Few mandated reporters in my area feel the need to report me for my mere desires alone.

An adult is an abuser, in my view, simply for their power and control over children, in the form of entitlement. Anti-children's rights is about reversing the roles, and making children responsible. Basically, it is taking things back to the days of the Great Depression, when children worked on the farm from the time they were 5-6 years old.

I mention their backwards attitudes because I am even more backwards...biblical times, when punishing children was banned.

All this riff-raff was depicted as if Robbyn was responsible, but then I noticed the reversal, and the part where she was afraid of me switching stances and blaming child victims. Understandable fear. I grant her the defense of ignorance, meaning she didn't know and was horrified later about how wrong she was. Presumption of innocence, beyond a reasonable doubt. I had a reason to doubt you, and had to go on that.

Any comment that
1. Endorses child abuse (including pornography of such)
2. Imposes want to the point of imposition, meaning entitlement.
3. Contains self-entitled parent rhetoric, to the point of self-victimization

will not be published. Flexible application. Debate is allowed, but only civil arguments that presume the best of intentions in their opponent, on both sides.
