Original sin: Why all adults were born in sin

The doctrine of original sin is one of the most misunderstood and misused of Christian doctrine. Yet, original sin is the backbone of Christianity. Without original sin, there would be no need for a Christ. Most American parents believe in the doctrine of original sin for children. However, parents and other adults should be focusing on their own sins.

It says in Romans 3:9-18 KJV:
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace they have not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

This passage was written to Roman Christians in the 1st Century. The Roman Christians were becoming prideful and boastful in their practice of Christianity. Paul here was convicting the Roman Christians of their original sin, comparing the practice of Christianity amongst the Romans to the behavior of the Roman pagans, listing everything the two groups had in common. Today, this passage serves as a testament to how God feels about humanity. God hates all mankind, to the point where He wants us not to exist within His midst. By default, all mankind is marked for deletion. Only a few of us - the elect - will be saved. The rest of mankind will be cast into everlasting punishment, suffering the second death which is the fire of Hell. We as adults are especially guilty merely for existing in relation to child-kind, while having a history of incurring on child-kind.

Parental entitlement is the lowest level of our sin nature. The Greek root word denoting entitlement, including parental entitlement, and cross-references the Tenth Commandment, is πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and is defined as, officially speaking, wanting things from children, to the point of imposition. Unofficially speaking, parental entitlement is wanting things from children, period. It is good not to want things in life, including from children. But, since we all want things from children as depraved and decadent adults, it is good to ask politely and appropriately for what we want from them, and accept when they can't or won't give us what we want from them. Entitlement of any kind usually comes from a deserving place, where the individual feels that they deserve things in life. You, as a parent/adult, are deserving of absolutely nothing in life, including from your child. As soon as you become convicted of the fact that you are deserve absolutely nothing from your child, the moment you will cease to be angry with your child. An entitled parent thinks that they are deserving of everything from their child, respect and all. Anything coming from your child is something you need to earn.

What washes away sin more than anything? Alas, it is Christian love! Christian love is denoted in the New Testament by the Greek root word αγαπαο (Latin: agapao) and refers to, in the context of parenting, prioritizing children first, and yourself last, to the point of dutiful and selfless submission to children, expecting absolutely nothing in return. True Love does not come from pride or desire, but from fearful conviction, where parents are convicted of the fact that they are a depraved and decadent sinner in relation to children. This leads to a sense of worthlessness in the sinner/parent, prompting the sinner/parent to earn their worth by doing good works for their children. In return, children are to rest safely and securely in the love and submission of parents. This is the Christian doctrine of mutual submission. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and grace of parents. Children are to rest safely and securely in the sacrifice of parents, just as parent believers rest securely in the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Parents are to be extensions of Christ in the family home, dutifully and selflessly submitting to children just as they would to God, expecting absolutely nothing in return, with children resting safely and securely in the submission of parents. Parents are to submit to children as their enemy, from beneath yet from above, revering and fearing children as vulnerable extensions of God.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and also understood in context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including any punishments or controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. Parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child hostage merely for things that they did wrong, thereby treating them as a quartered slave. Paul here is lifting up this legal context in order to convict a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child.

Attachment parenting is the biblically endorsed way to bring up a child. Children, in biblical times, wore absolutely no clothing, at all, until they became adults. Women only wore clothing when outside the home, and otherwise went in the nude, in order to serve both their husbands and their children, separately. Mothers served their children by way of providing for them nourishment and sustenance, namely attachment parenting items such as breastfeeding and skin-on-skin comfort. Children were not considered "bad" in biblical times, but rather sacrosanct. Children were like royalty, meaning they could do no wrong, even if they did do things considered wrong. The doctrine of original sin was for adults to be convicted of. Behaviors such as crying and defiance were not seen as signs of a sinful nature, but instead as ways the child communicated vulnerable needs to adults. Parents and caregivers simply provided children those needs.

It is good for an adult to focus on their own sins, instead of pointing out the sins of children while sinning against them nonetheless. All of mankind is born in sin, not just children. Adults also bear the sin of Adam, and thus adults need to accept conviction of that sin nature, including in relation to children, especially in relation to children. We as adults have wronged and abused children since time immemorial. No adult truly means well in relation to children.

I myself am a depraved and decadent sinner, and am deserving of nothing but DEATH and PUNISHMENT merely for existing in relation to children. I have wronged and abused children in the past, by way of following them around and flirting with them for sexually entitled reasons. I am grateful for the forgivness of my child victims to the degree that they have forgiven me, as I deserve none of it...All adults should atone like this for their existence.

The parent entitled parents who provoke children to anger through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be forever cast into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
