Help entitlement: How to help your child the right way

Many parents like to help their children a lot. It is always good to help others, including children. However, help should come within reason, meaning too much of any good thing makes it a bad thing, and in this case were are referring to a form of child abuse - help abuse.

The Greek root word denoting all forms of entitlement, including help entitlement, and cross-referencing the Tenth Commandment, is πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and refers officially, in the case of help entitlement, to wanting to help to the point of imposition, leading to offense perceived by the child, or else covetous defense of said entitlement. Unofficially, it refers to wanting to help in any way that would lead to imposition. It is one thing to want to help, but if there is no help to be given, the point is moot.

Christian love is denoted by the Greek root word αγαπαο (Latin: agapao), and refers to putting children first, and yourself as a parent last, in a side-by-side libertarian way, convicted in a way leading to dutiful and selfless submission to children and their every need, expecting absolutely nothing in return from children or others, with children resting in the safety and security of parents, and children demanding help in a tone-deaf manner becoming of any child. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in parents. This is an active rest, meaning children demand and self-advocate for their needs, and parents provide. A child who is raised in an attached home has no problem telling parents what they need, as long as they have the verbal skills to do so, and even preverbal and non-verbal children communicate their needs in some way. Punishment suppresses a child's natural ability to advocate for their own needs, without parents being presumptuous in any way.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or abuse, namely child abuse in this context. Child abuse is defined as the slightest of personal offense perceived by the child, including the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by the child, coming from entitlement. This includes any help that is not consensual. In this commandment, the Apostle Paul was lifting up the Law against punishment and controlling demeanor towards children, rebuking Greek Christians who were bringing their pagan custom of spanking children into the church, with the book of Proverbs being misused even then. The Apostle Paul was warning the Greek Christians that Proverbs was simply wisdom literature, not a book on parenting. The Apostle Paul was anti-spanking, and opposed the punishment of a child for any reason.

Help entitlement is where the adult imposes help onto the child that they do not want. The right way to help a child is stationery help, meaning simply being there for them to talk to, with adults listening and validating when children confide in parents. Usually, children simply need parents to listen and validate their upsets, allowing children to solve their problems themselves, with their needs validated by an adult.

Children do not need help all of the time, meaning interventions and so-forth. They need listening and validation, with children confiding into parents, and parents then listening and validating the upsets of children. Children need to know that they can go to parents or other adults for help, instead of being helped by way of some intervention.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
