Original sin: A misunderstood teaching in parenting

Many parents believe their child was born in original sin, thus are deserving of punishment. The doctrine of original sin is the most misunderstood, and most misused, of Christian teachings, yet it remains the backbone of Christian teaching, and will be until the end of time. The fact of the matter is that adults are born in original sin in relation to children, and are inherently sinful beings just for being adults.

The Greek root word denoting entitlement in the New Testament, and cross-referencing the Tenth Commandment, is πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and refers here to parental entitlement, meaning officially wanting things from or of children to the point of imposition. But, unofficially, parental entitlement is any wanting of things from children, in which case wanting things from children is the core of our sin nature as entitled adults. A child owes me nothing as an adult, as I am not entitled to anything from a child, not even respect.

Every single adult is guilty in relation to children, and is deserving of DEATH and DESTRUCTION merely for existing in relation to children, with parents/adults being obligated to be meek and shamefaced in relation to children, shut up in the Lord, silenced by being convicted of their adult guilt. Parents especially are to be convicted of their child's every need, putting children first, and parents last, to the point of dutiful and selfless submission to children and their every need, expecting absolutely nothing in return from children or others, with children resting safely and securely in parents. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and grace of parents, with children owing nothing in return to parents, with all respect being earned based on the good treatment of children. This isn't a form of respect based off of fearful compliance, but instead openness, honesty, and transparency, meaning children in biblical times could tell their parents anything and everything under the sun, including confess to wrongdoing, and expect absolutely no punishment or reprisal in return. Parents were seen by children and by other adults as objects for use, meaning milking-objects that children milked to get what they wanted/needed. Parents were seen as righteous slaves to their children, meaning bondservants to their every vulnerable need, waiting on them head and foot, serving children at table. Children demanded their needs in biblical times, and parents gave up and gave in to children's demands, surrendering to children and their every need, being beholden to children and their every need. Parents are servants of God, with children being in place of God.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or abuse, namely child abuse in this context. The word refers to the slightest of personal offense perceived by the child, including the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by the child, stemming from entitlement. Here, the Apostle Paul is lifting up the Law on punishment and controlling demeanor towards children, rebuking Greek Christian parents who stuck to their punitive parenting habits. Punitive parents were dealt with severely in both Ancient Israel and the Early Church, and were seen as deserving of death to varying degrees in both contexts, even though the Early Church did not unilaterally carry out executions and shunned all Roman executions. The seven rod verses in the book of Proverbs are repealed verses, meaning the passages are only relevant to the cultural and legal context in which they were given, and refer to a dated form of judicial corporal punishment closely conflated with the death penalty in Ancient Israel - the 40 minus 1 lashes with the rod of correction, as a final warning before putting an ADULT child to death, after adequate due process in the form of a criminal trial before the Sanhedrin. MINOR children could not be legally whipped, as they were deemed incompetent to stand trial for any criminal act or civil wrong that they committed, due to an age of infancy defense.

Original sin is want, meaning want from children. Want is the depraved and entitled nature of man since the very beginning, and this will be the case until the very end. It is not good to want anything from a child, but don't we all as entitled adults have a self-interest in relation to children? That is the core of our nature as wicked and depraved adults.

I myself am a depraved and entitled adult who is deserving of DEATH and PUNISHMENT merely for existing in relation to a child. I have a long rap sheet in relation to children, and am grateful for their forgiveness. I am a pedophile in relation to children, and own up to it as the psychiatric label for my struggle with sexual entitlement in relation to children, meaning self-interest at this point. I am a depraved and entitled adult that is worthy of nothing from children, or anyone else for that matter. It is good and just that I am in my place - silent and shut up by the Lord, while the children play freely and loudly.

Admitting one's original sin as a parent leads to the same in children, and when children admit these things on their own, it isn't harmful like when the ideology is forced on children. This is called co-regulation, or teaching self-control, self-discipline, and other family values, by example instead of force. Children don't perfect self-discipline and admission of sin nature right away, but as they get older, the truth dawns on them, and they achieve milestones along the way in terms of feats of self-control and self-discipline. Admission of original sin leads to self-control and self-discipline, and when parents admit to it, children eventually admit to it sometime along the way. In the mean time, children will go through phases in their own behavior that may be annoying to parents (but not the child or anyone else) but are nonetheless developmentally appropriate and thus should not be reprimanded. When behavior is not developmentally appropriate, or when development is slow, stagnant, or erratic, that is a sign of a developmental disability such as autism or ADHD. Most children develop religious beliefs starting at age 6, usually starting with a simple understanding of Christianity, and expanding as they get older. Children in biblical times didn't need much prompting in accepting Christ as their Savior, and were allowed to hold a different camp of theological opinion as their parents. A child whose trusted parents believe in original sin for themselves will believe in original sin for themselves, by way of learning and absorbing the example of their parents. Closeness instills example from parents in the form of co-regulation.

The depraved and entitled adults who provoke children to anger will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them burn in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever. Many will identify as Christians, but few will make the cut due to how children are treated. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
