Individual responsibility for adults attracted to children

Many parents think they are the ones to stop sexual abuse, alongside those in place of a parent. Judging by the CNN coverage of the Larry Nassar child sexual abuse case, the media is clueless about pedophilia and attraction to children. It is not the fault of a few adults that were asleep at the switch. That takes responsibility away from the perpetrator. Pedophilia is sexual attraction to children under age 14, with 1-2% of men being attracted to children younger than age 14, with many other men being attracted to children much older, meaning about 20%.

Why didn't he quit his job? Why didn't he have someone else there? Why didn't he just make up another reason if he didn't want to abuse the children? Why did he have to lie? But, since he did it, he must have had some intent, which we will call reckless, since he didn't just make up a believable story to remove himself from where he could abuse a child. Meaning, since he didn't avail himself of his personal responsibility not to abuse, he wanted to, even if recklessly so. I think his intent was reckless, putting himself in a place where he could easily be tempted, when a woman might well have made a better gymnastics instructor.

What can individuals attracted to children under age 18 do to avoid abusing a child? Most pedophiles especially may not agree with me about an existence of a God, but anyone, atheist or believer, can glean from the Scriptures. My Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV:

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

The Greek root word translated "appearance" is εἴδος (Latin: eidos) and translate here to "form", not "appearance", meaning when the opportunity to do evil. This means avoiding being alone with a child, not because a policy tells you to do so, but because you personally know the risks as an adult, and avoid them.

There is a problem in some attachment parenting circles of fathers having attractions, usually connotational, to teenage girls, due to the closeness of the parenting. I do not support "healthy pedophilia" being included in the handbook at all, except pro-social fantasy, which is a form of pro-social channeling of sexual attraction to a child through masturbation, where it is channeled away from a child, like turning the dial away from the wrong option on a dishwasher. Trying to find ways to satisfy sexual entitlement towards one's child legally is still illegal under God's Law, as per the Greek root word πορνεία (Latin: porneia) and refers here to directly imposed sexually entitled intent as perceived by the child relating to the intent.

Basically, don't burden yourself with a responsibility you can't handle as a pedophilic adult. Just don't be alone with a child, and you should be good in most cases. Sometimes, you need to find another job. If your job requires holding students directly by the rear end of a child, and you happen to be a pedophile, get out of there, and work somewhere else. Fast food joint, perhaps, if that is the only other work available? A job is a job, and you don't have to coach children just because you are a pedophile.

I myself am a pedophile, and I avoid all jobs where one comes into contact with children. I also am aware of my own choices, and am chastened up by them as the right choice. I may have wanted to falsely befriend a few girls, but after a while, I learned my conduct was abusive. One child showing effusively how threatening my gaze was, thus showing abuse, and then I was convicted of my wrongdoing. I am responsible for my own choices, and nobody has to stop me from abusing a child. I can stop myself, or pay the penalty later, at another place, at another time, with either earthly or divine justice.

It's called individual responsibility, and we all have it as adults in relation to children, as no adult truly means well about parenting.. It says for religiously motivated abusers in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 KJV:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselvesa with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the Kingdom of God.

Fornication is SIN! Adult fornicators will BURN! Repent, and flee from fornication! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
