Love children: Why to love your child

Many parents say that they love their children, but only when defending themselves from allegations of child abuse. Many parents claim to love their children, yet few in America actually do. Most parents, in practice, actually hate their children. Children are not deserving of simply a mixture of affection and punishment. Parents are to be submissive to children. Love is submission, and submission is love.

Love is a commandment for parents towards their children. It says in Matthew 22:35-40 KJV:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The Greek root word translated "love" in this passage is αγαπαο (Latin: agapao) and refers to, in the context of parenting, prioritizing children first, and yourself last, as a parent, to the point of dutiful and selfless submission, expecting absolutely nothing in return, valuing children as extensions of God. True Love for children does not come from pride or desire, but from fearful conviction, where parents are convicted of the fact that they are depraved and decadent sinners, who are deserving of absolutely nothing, from children or anyone else. This leads to the sinner/parent being prompted to pay due penance to their neighbor/child by way of serving them selflessly. Children were seen as your neighbor then, and an extension of God at that.

Parents are to be submissive to children, and are to surrender to them as they would God. In practice, this relationship works as a mutual submission relationship between parent-child. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and grace of parents. Children are to rest securely in the sacrifice of parents, just as parent believers rest securely in the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Parents are to be extensions of Christ in the family home, dutifully and selflessly submitting to children as they would God, expecting absolutely nothing in return, with children resting safely and securely in the submission of parents. Children are to rest safely and securely in the presence of parents, trusting parents in all things, following mothers around especially like goslings to a mother goose.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by a child, stemming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including any punishments or controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children one last time. Parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damages or offenses stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen in biblical times as holding your child hostage merely for things they did wrong, thereby treating a child as a quartered slave. Paul here was lifting up this legal context in order to convict a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child.

Parents are to love their children. This means that parents are to be submissive to children, just as they are to God. Children were seen in biblical times as extensions of God, because of their vulnerability, not despite it. Children were seen as instruments of God, meaning sentries of God called to scope out which adults were charitable and which adults weren't, towards children, and towards everyone poor and vulnerable by extension. Children were believed to report straight to God about how they were treated. Children were treated as deities of their own, that were representative of God. Children were seen then as gods and goddesses reigning over parents, with parents seeking to win favor with them. Parents feared reverently the wrath of their children, tears and all, and sought to appease that wrath in children.

Children, in biblical times, wore absolutely no clothing, at all, until they became adults. Women only wore clothing outside the home, and otherwise went in the nude, in order to serve both their husbands and their children, separately. Mothers served their children by providing for them nourishment and sustenance, namely attachment parenting items such as breastfeeding and skin-on-skin comforting strategies. By day, children ranged next to mothers, sometimes clinging to her. When out and about, children up until age 6 were wrapped up against the bosom of mothers in swaddling blankets. By night, children co-slept next to mothers, with mothers guarding them against all predators, both external and domestic. Fathers also formed a secure attachment to children, by way of witnessing mother-child bonding. Fatherly secure attachment comes in the form of sexual attachment, usually towards daughters, and usually in a connotational manner. Fathers then followed their sexual thoughts about their children to the end using masturbatory fantasy. Actual child sexual abuse, in biblical times, was rare next to non-existent. Any sex with children was seen in Ancient Jewish society, including the Early Church, as deserving of death.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger through punitive parenting will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be forever cast into the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
