Original sin: Why parents also have a depraved and entitled nature

The doctrine of original sin is one of the most misunderstood and misused teachings in Christianity. It is also the backbone of the Christian faith. Without original sin, there would be no Christ. Many people accuse all children of being guilty of a depraved and entitled sin nature. The fact of the matter is that whether or not children are sinful beings is irrelevant, as God hates us all equally, but perhaps more so us adults in relation to children.

It says in Romans 3:9-12 KJV:
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The Apostle Paul, here, is convicting Roman Christians of their pridefulness. The Roman Christians thought they were the righteous ones merely for being Christians. Today, this passage can be understood as a snapshot of what God thinks of us as human beings. God hates us all, so much that He doesn't want any of us to exist in His midst. God in particular hates adult-kind for his/her incursions on child-kind, with adults being deserving of nothing but DEATH and PUNISHMENT merely for existing in relation to children. Only a few adults will earn their right to exist in relation to children, and the rest will be swiftly punished on their last day, with the world that supports these sinful vipers and monsters destroyed on the very last day. We as sinful human beings have a depraved and decadent sin nature deserving of God's Wrath merely for existing. We all want something from children, yet we can't always get what we want from children, and thus we have to accept that we can't always get what we want from children.

The Greek root word denoting entitlement, including parental entitlement, and cross-referencing the Tenth Commandment, is πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and refers to, officially speaking, wanting things from children, to the point of imposition. Unofficially, this refers to wanting things from children, period. It is good not to want anything from children, but since we all want something from children as depraved and decadent human beings, we should ask politely and appropriately, and not be offended by a negative answer of any sort or degree. We as depraved and decadent adults are deserving of absolutely nothing in life, and are to be grateful for everything we get from children, demanding nothing from children, only giving thanks to them and the Lord up Above.

What drives out our depraved and decadent sin nature? Nothing but Christian love! Love, as denoted in the New Testament by the Greek root word αγαπαο (Latin: agapao), is not just a feeling or an action, but a state of being, where the needs of everyone else are prioritized first, and your own needs come last. This is the state we are supposed to live in as we raise children as parents, and as we care for children as adults. Love is the best of examples a child can live by. It starts in the parent, from a place of conviction, where you come to the knowledge that you are a wicked and entitled sinner deserving of nothing, and that you need to pay due penance for your sin nature by serving your neighbor. Children, in biblical times, were seen as neighbors to adults, not the enemy.

Parental entitlement is specifically prohibited in the Bible, and is prohibited in offense format. See Colossians 3:21 KJV:

Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by the child, coming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including any punishment or controlling demeanor towards a child. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children too many times, and also after receiving many warnings that their punitive parenting habits were in violation of the Law. Parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damage or offense stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen as holding a child hostage merely for things they did wrong. Paul here was lifting up the Law for a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. Paul, contrary to popular legend, was anti-spanking, and opposed any and all punishment of a child. Paul here was advocating for children growing up in Greek and Roman Christian homes, where they were whipped, beaten, and brutalized for the minutest of "purity" offenses. Paul was educating newcoming parents to the Christian Church on proper Jewish parenting.

I am a sinful adult guilty of a depraved and decadent sin nature, and am deserving of nothing but DEATH and PUNISHMENT merely for existing as the wicked and decadent sinner that I am in relation to children. My main sin in relation to children has been adult sexual self-interest. I was, in fact, sexually entitled as an adult in the past, approaching young girls and harassing them with my sexually entitled approach. I just strive not to approach children in a sexually entitled manner anymore. A child owes me nothing, and I owe them everything in reparations for my sinful past in relation to them. I am a sinful and wicked adult, deserving of nothing from children, not even respect, not even forgiveness. I am grateful for all the respect and forgiveness I receive from children, current and former, as I don't deserve it.

The parent entitled parents and adults will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever into the lake of fire and sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
