Children self-protect. Adults abstain. (natural and physical law in the United States on spanking)

Many parents believe in spanking and other forms of punishment being legal. Most parents do not know that spanking children is already banned under natural law. Natural law is the moral laws that form the foundation of American society, and any provocation to anger imposed upon a child is abuse under Divine Codified Jurisprudence.

Children self-protect. Adults abstain. These are the roles in child protection. It says in Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to the acronym of children self-protect. Children surrendered to parents in biblical times, but in a specific way that involved open communication. Children told parents anything and everything under the sun, expecting absolutely no punishment or reprisal in return for anything they said, not mincing words for their parents. A child could also take offense about anything and everything concerning even the existence of their parents in relation to them, and they could be the plaintiff in a courtroom exchange, but not the defendant due to a defense of infancy. Usually, the child pointed out their parents to a bystander, and then their parents were brought to court, usually for capital offenses such as kidnapping. Ancient Israel and adjoining churches carried on a tradition of attachment parenting, meaning mothers co-slept with their children until adulthood, with both parents seeing childhood as solemn and holy, with children being seen as extensions of God to reign terror in the family home, and as signs of God for parents to appease.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to provocations to anger imposed by an adult onto a child, meaning all offenses against children, with "offenses" being defined as the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child. This was the Law of Ancient Israel, as handed down by the Eighth and Tenth Commandments, and also was the Law of the Early Church. The framework was entitlement leading to an offense, with entitlement referring to willful or reckless intent, with intent meaning wanting to the point of seeking to impose said want onto a child, with a provocation to anger meaning any time the child is offended by parental entitlement. The Apostle Paul delivered this command with the intent of cracking down on the Hellenistic tradition of spanking children, in which case the Law prohibited any striking or punishing of a child, and likened it to holding your child hostage, meaning kidnapping.

The American legal system is set up very similarly to the Jewish legal system. The only difference is that the English common law, the official legal system of the United States, has a legal defense for any "reasonable" use of force, as decided by child abuse definitions and case law precedent. Biblical law offers no such defense when using righteous judgment, but offers children an automatic defense of infancy under the Law. This is a small legal discrepancy that has led to the abuse and oppression of children en masse. This legal defense comes from Roman law, not Judeo-Christian law. Punishing a child under Jewish law was seen as kidnapping, and thus deserving of death.

Banning spanking will not happen until everyone agrees to it. Most unpopular laws were to appease international pressure that isn't put onto the United States, due to the lack of ratification of the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child. The law, in the United States, should excel that of other countries in terms of strength, allowing for the child to perceive their own abuse, with whole school assemblies on how to report your parents safely in the case of child abuse.

Children have the right to protect themselves from abuse, and adults have the duty to abstain from all forms of child abuse and neglect, and the law should be there to allow children to defend themselves. I am currently in the minority among conservatives, and also support waiting to pass a law until there is a massive moral outrage about the issue, which could happen. I must accept that the secular law is the way it is, and focus on moral laws, at least until the first states start banning spanking.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them burn in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
