Opposing tyranny as a Christian conservative - even in parenting

Christian conservatism is not about power and authority, but about questioning the one in authority, and not being a sheep. We don't blindly follow authority here in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and neither should children be made to.

What are the rights of children? Same as all adults. Life. Liberty. Pursuit of happiness. At least some of the time. Most child abuse in the United States is within the law, and thus life is not much of an issue these days like in the mid 19th Century. Natural rights apply to children too, and ultimately, they are clarified by one book - the Bible. Reverent rebellion should be the spirit of every American child, meaning pro-social rebellion against parent and adult tyranny.

It says in Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for is well-pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they become discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest and trust in the love and grace of parents, with parents sacrificing for their children in the spirit that Christ sacrificed for His children, taking up the cross for children in the spirit that Christ did for His children, martyring oneself for one's children in all things...with children resting securely in the sacrifice of parents. The Greek root word υπακουο uplifts the parenting traditions of ancient Jewish culture, which were attachment-based in nature. Child nudity was legal throughout the biblical context, and that was to ensure children got their daily dosage of skin-to-skin contact. Children up to age 3 were swaddled to their mother's bosom, with children older co-sleeping next to mother into adulthood, with mothers also being unclothed in the home. Children had the right of reverent rebellion in the Bible, meaning they kept the powers of their parents in check, as parents were caregivers, yet being a caregiver alone gives you a lot of power, and children were the checks and balances for that power in the home.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and literally translates to "stirring up" anger, resentment, and upset in a child, referencing the Jewish adage of "stirring the pot" in terms of a child's emotions. This was a command from God through the Apostle Paul against the physical and mental punishment of children. Basically, the slightest of offense perceived by a child is child abuse, thus a moral crime, thus sin. The Apostle Paul issued parenting manuals that recommended attachment parenting. Basically, children had the right to take offense in anything an adult did to them or around them, enough to overthrow, in fact, tyrannical parents who abused and oppressed them.

Children's rights is a biblical concept, in the Hebraic context. Children's rights started with Moses, and was perfected and promulgated by Christ. Christ was the first child advocate. Conservatism means opposing tyranny. Children's rights goes one step further, and opposes tyranny in parenting, meaning you can be anti-spanking, pro-gentle parenting, and conservative. Opposing Parental Entitlement is not a leftist entity, but is a conservative entity. We support securing the borders, but not jailing the children. We support gun rights, as gently parented children grow up to be responsible gun owners, so blame punitive parenting instead. We support homeschooling rights, but that is because I was abused by school staff throughout my school career. Yes, sorry, I do believe dragging your children across the border and encouraging them to disobey the law is child abuse. Yes, sorry, the climate is always change, but at least Greta Thunberg has the right to free expression in Sweden...And that's my main long-term goal as an advocate. Include children in the political discourse in this country.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them burn in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Many parents think that co-sleeping is the irresponsible choice for a parent to make. This is a common attitude from American parents. Most ...
