Mutual submission: Why parents and children must respect each other

Many parents demand that they be listened to and respected, without earning any of it. Most parents in the United States want respect from their children, and want to order children around, and then children listening.

The Epistles according to Paul the Apostle state in Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things, as is well-pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they become discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and grace of parents, meaning children demand things from parents, and parents supply the need every time, with parents bearing the brunt of their child's demanding behavior that petitions for needs or a redress of grievances, with children owing nothing in return to parents, meaning owing nothing at all, but nonetheless showing gratitude and thanksgiving for the generosity of parents by emulating the example and momentary instruction of parents. Parents are to be generous and charitable towards their children, and not punitive. The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and literally translates to "stirring up" anger and upset in children, namely the Jewish idiom of "stirring the pot", literally literally referring to, in a contextual manner, the offenses, meaning the torts and damages under the Eighth Commandment, including assault and battery laws. Basically, the slightest of personal offense perceived by a child is abuse, thus a moral crime, thus sin.

In the ancient Israel and adjoining churches, parents gained cooperation from their children by way of closeness, not punishment or control, meaning infants up to age 3 were swaddled in her bosom, with the child being breastfed right up until that age (or sometimes older), with children being naked then in order for there to be easy skin-to-skin closeness with mother. Older children voiced their feelings towards children without censoring themselves, with respect then meaning children were honest with parents, and parents respected them back for being so honest with children. The biblical context was attachment parenting culture, meaning corporal punishment in the Old Testament only existed as a form of judicial corporal punishment, and didn't exist at all in the Early Christian churches.

The depraved and entitled parents will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them burn and suffer in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death, which is Satan's final resting place! Satan invented child abuse, not God. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

3. Contains self-entitled parent rhetoric, to the point of self-victimization

The word "no": Why children need to hear the word "no" seldom (meaning almost never)
