Pro-social deification, pro-social child worship: Why biblical society was child worshipping society

Many parents think that, in biblical times, things were harsh for children. Many of these parents share stories of hard labor and children being whipped by their fathers with a rod. All of these contextual snippets from the Bible are false history. Ancient Judeo-Christian society was a child worshipping society.

Jesus Christ said in Matthew 25:45-46 KJV:

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Ancient Israel and adjoining churches were child worshipping societies. Children were seen as instruments of God in the family home, striking reverent fear and terror into the sinful hearts of parents and other adults, righteously demanding their needs and wants. Whatever you withheld from your child, you withheld from God. Anything you did to abuse or mistreat a child, you did to God. Children would have been seen as the "least of these" in Christ's Jewish society, and so Christ Himself was likening a child to God, in a way that convicted abusers instead of encouraged them.

Child worship was integrated into the toles of mutual submission in parenting, meaning parents submitted to children as that child's enemy, just as mankind is the enemy to God, and is to be subservient to Him and children as such. Biblical parents used attachment parenting to serve children and win over their good graces. See Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable rest in the love and grace of parents. Children are to rest securely in the sacrifice of parents, just as parent believers rest securely in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Parents are to ensure that children receive a warm and loving upbringing, with parents winning over their children's respect and affection, with children being extensions of God. When attachment parenting is used to the fullest, and children are held close to parents in skin-on-skin fashion, children automatically and instinctively listen to parents. Biblical obedience was a concept in biblical times, but it was based on closeness to, and fondness for, parents, not fear of punishment from parents. Biblical parents, in all actuality, did not punish their children, but rather co-snuggled and co-slept with their children to form the necessary and secure parent-child bond to gain cooperation, and then compliance, from children.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to damages or offenses, namely the slightest of personal offense perceived by the child, including, but not limited to, the slightest of offensive touch or speech perceived by the child, coming from entitlement. This commandment was intended by the Apostle Paul, and understood in its original context, as a moral statute prohibiting all forms of punitive parenting, including any punishment and controlling demeanor towards children. In the Old Testament, punitive parents were put to death by way of bloodletting, after punishing their children too many times, and receiving many warnings that their punitive parenting habits were in violation of the Law. Parents who punished their children were charged with kidnapping, with "kidnapping" being defined under the Law as the slightest of damage or offense stemming from hostage-taking - child punishment was seen as holding a child hostage merely for things they did wrong. Paul here was lifting up the Law to a group of Greek Christian parents who brought their pagan custom of spanking and punishing children into the church. No such custom existed among the Early Christians, who were pacifists in the practice of their Christian faith, even in the realm of parenting.

Children were worshipped and venerated in biblical times, meaning parents and other adults were literally fearful of their children in a reverent way. Parents never got angry at their children in biblical times, as such was seen as conduct becoming of a viper or a monster. Parents who struck out at their children, or lashed out at all, were seen in the most demonizing of terms. Most parents weren't motivated by anger, but by righteous anxiety about their child's safety and well-being. Parents worried all the time about their children, but never got angry or pushy about it.

Children never wore any clothing, at all, until they were an adult. Mothers only wore clothing outside the home, when they went to run errands or gather fruits and vegetables. This setup was so that mothers could better suit their child's attachment needs. Co-snuggling and co-sleeping works best when mother and child are unclothed and naked, ideally with the child resting his/her head on the bosom of mothers. The bosom of mothers was made for holding children on it, and the bare contact of the skin of both mother and child leads to warmth, then familiarity, then cooperation later on. Pro-social child worship simply refers to the fact that children should be valued as extensions of God. If you refuse to provide warmth to a child, you refuse to do the same to God, for children are vassals of God, and are to be served in the way one would God, being the least among us. Skin-to-skin closeness and intimacy, in pictorial format, is the very image of mutual submission between parent and child. Fathers submit to, by being guided around like a ragdoll by their children, suddenly showing interest in their children and not overtly manly things.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them be cast forever in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Let them descend into the abyss which is the ever-burning Hell of fire and torment, suffering God's Wrath forever and ever! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
