The true meaning of Valentine's Day

What is the true meaning of Valentine's Day? American culture gets it entirely wrong. It is about Christian love in particular, meaning martyrdom. Are you ready to do that for your child? Then make it so. Be a martyr for your child.

It is the concept of pro-social self-crucifixion, meaning parents are to take up the cross for their child, just as Christ took up the cross for His own children, giving up everything for their child, not expecting anything in return. That is true love for a child.

I myself do claim to martyr myself for children, and that is what Valentine's Day was supposed to be about. I love children, and I'm pretty sure I mean it when I say it, wouldn't you say? All parents should love their children to the point of martyrdom.
