Original sin: Why this applies to parents/adults more than children

Many parents think their children were born in original sin. This is an excuse to "beat the devil" out of them and "break their will". The doctrine of original sin is the most misused of Christian teachings, yet is also the backbone of Christianity. Adults are guilty of their original sin, whereas children are not. Children are simply flawed. 

Want is the core of our nature, and we all want things in relation to children as adults. But, is it good to want things from children? The fact of the matter is that children are dependent on adults until age 18, and children are entitled to things from parents, not the other way around. The Greek root word cross-referencing the Tenth Commandment and referring to entitlement is πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and refers to wanting things from children, or else wanting them to do things for you, to the point of seeking to impose said want onto a child, leading to child abuse by way of offense perceived by the child victim. This can be extended, personally speaking, to all want towards a child, meaning avoiding all want from a child or of a child. I am not entitled, as the depraved and entitled adult that I am, to anything from a child, and am grateful for all the trust and care from children that I do get. Adults deserve only DEATH and DESTRUCTION for their mere existence, based on how they have treated children throughout time immemorial. God hates our entitled heritage in relation to children as adults.

Every single adult is guilty for their mere existence in relation to children, and is to surrender to God through their children, being struck with reverent fear, leading to turning oneself into children. God's order for parenting is stated in Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable trust and rest in the love and grace of parents, coming from sacrifice for children, in the spirit that Christ sacrificed for His children; taking up the cross for children, in the spirit that Christ took up the cross for children; martyring oneself in everything regarding parenting, leading to rest in the warmth and love of parents, with children showing gratitude and thanksgiving by emulating the example and teachings of parents, with parents being extensions of Christ. This Greek root word ultimately uplifts the traditional Judeo-Christian parenting context in the Bible, which was attachment-based in nature. Child nudity was legal and accepted throughout the biblical context, and that is because 1st Century Christians, alongside their Jewish predecessors, used skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding to bond with children, with children being treated behaviorally as infants until age 3, and co-sleeping with mothers - who were also unclothed when in the home - up until adulthood, with mothers and daughters being inseparable in this regard. Older children, when perhaps going to market, were carried in a papoose bag designed for the purpose of keeping them safe from running around. Children were allowed otherwise to play freely, but only with a parent's line of sight. This context can be applied flexibly today, but denying it entirely is to deny God's Word and Law by attaching your own meaning to it.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and literally translates to "stirring up" upset and resentment in children, referencing the Jewish adage "stirring the pot" in regards to your child's emotional well-being. The word is strong enough to prohibit all corporal punishment, or other punishment and harshness towards children, as that is what the Apostle Paul intended the text to mean. This was a command God, delivered by the Apostle Paul, uplifting a form of theft in the Old Testament, with theft/abuse meaning the slightest of offense perceived by the child. The Apostle Paul also handed out attachment parenting manuals advising Christian parents to follow a certain attachment parenting regimen with their children, meaning teach primarily by example and then by momentary instruction as guidance. Respect for the example of a parent was fostered by closeness to parents, with parents putting out a specific example - that of Jesus Christ, meaning parents were giving and charitable extensions of Christ in the home.

Children were born in original sin as well, but in a different way, meaning they are so flawed they cannot even answer for their sins, meaning they are exempt from all guilt due to the defense of ignorance implied in the command for judging righteously (John 7:24). Sin means imperfection, and children are far from perfect. God loves His children FOR their imperfections and flaws - meaning God loves His children FOR their sin nature, delighting in how flawed we are, accepting us as His adopted children anyway. So should we - we as adults should see children FOR their sins (not despite), for their behavior flaws, and lovingly guide them, enjoying their sin nature while simultaneously correcting it gently.

The depraved and entitled parents will not inherit the Kingdom of God, for they were born in sin, yet project and blame onto their child that sin nature. Let them burn in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
