The admonition of the Lord: Setting limits with children (the biblical, non-violent way)

Many parents abuse their children, meaning most. 94% of parents punish their children using domestic violence at a physical level. 1/3 of physical attacks against children might be illegal under the secular law. One problem is that there is little good information on how to set limits with a child. The admonition of the Lord involves fathers especially setting boundaries with children.

It says in Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor thy father and mother, for this is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live upon the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Greek root word translated "nurture" is παιδεία (Latin: paideia) and refers to the chastening of the Lord, meaning for the parent to model to the child, in terms of charring oneself in the Lord as a parent in relation to children, being struck with reverent terror for the every need, leading to a centeredness where children feel safe confiding in about anything, showing self-control in not punishing children for their feelings, and instead punishing oneself for your entitlement to physically punish a child, listening to the child itself. Pro-social behaviorism, in self-applied format. The Greek root word translated "admonition" is νουθεσία (Latin: nouthesia) and refers to the admonition of the Lord, meaning setting boundaries towards children, meaning the word "no" and its various variants. This is weighed by the Greek root word translated "provoke...to wrath" is παροργίζο (Latin: parorgizo) and refers to the offenses in the Bible, meaning the torts and damages system imposed on the Jewish people by the Mosaic Law, including assault and battery laws that protected children. The spirit of the Law is summed up in the New Testament as the slightest offense against your neighbor, meaning children here, and/or the slightest offense against God.

The Greek root word denoting compliance in children is "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to secure, vulnerable trust and rest in the care and safety of parents. This means that all limits are backed up by trust in parents, with parents being safe people for children to cling to when the world feels harsh and gloomy, and a shoulder to cry into. A child that trusts parents in the form of a secure bond will listen to parents later, when it is necessary to save their life. The goal of parenting is mutual submission, meaning mutual trust, with demands on one side - the child, meaning the child's every need, including attachment needs. Parental limits were non-binding and rare in the biblical context, as children were immature and could not heed every limit, or else would heed instruction more due to trusting their source.

Parents are to heel to their children's needs and rights, meaning hearken to their every command as to their needs with a righteous fear and tremble, if they can expect compliance from children. It is paying due penance for your existence as an parent/adult in relation to children, with your only reward being the good works done to children. This was the biblical mindset in parent - parents heel to children, meaning children are side by side with parents, being pals with their children, with children ranging next to parents, or else children playing freely, with parents being the safe people being just a phone call away, there to set straight a misunderstanding. Calling parents would not be feared, but anticipated, with parents being the child's primary advocate beside themselves.

In the biblical context, children as old as 3 were swaddled next to their mother, especially when out and about running errands, perhaps going to the city market. This is simply a pictorial example as to parent a child today using the Bible as a guide.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger through punitive or permissive treatment will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Corporal punishment and other forms of abuse shall not exist within the borders of the several United States, and if you identify by such treatment of children, you shall not exist on this earth, or else outside of this world outside of torment! They will be tormented in the lake of fire and burning sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices! Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
