Banning spanking: Why punishment of children is against natural law in America

Many parents abuse their children in the United States, meaning most. Lawful spanking is the most common form of child abuse in the United States, with 94% of parents being guilty of such a crime. Child abuse, unlike many European countries, is a societal issue, meaning society is rigged against the child. Thankfully, natural law is a thing in America, unlike most countries. The Bible is America's book, and spanking is banned in America because of that.

God's Law commands the doctrine of mutual submission be applied to parenting. It says in Colossians 3:20-21 KJV:

Children, obey your parents in all things, as is well-pleasing unto the Lord. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they become discouraged.

The Greek root word translated "obey" is υπακουο (Latin: hupakouo) and refers to trust in parents, not fear. This means secure, vulnerable rest in the care and safety of parents, being able to tell parents anything, seeing parents as one's best friend and sole best confidants, being able to be oneself in relation to parents, owing parents absolutely nothing in return, yet nonetheless listening to parents, not out of fear, but out of vulnerable trust for parents. This is prompted by Christian love, αγαπαο (Latin: agapao) and refers to submission to a child as their enemy, striving to be their friend, sacrificing for them just as Christ sacrificed for His children, rendering oneself beneath the child, devaluing oneself as her selfless and dutiful servant, ministering to and serving her every vulnerable need, with her being extended to parents by God for care, security, and protection, expecting absolutely nothing in return from children...Gentle parenting is roughly equivalent to mutual submission as a Christian understanding for a marriage, only wives have minimal duties in relation to their husband, whereas wives do not.

The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) and refers to the offenses in the biblical context, "lifting" them up, meaning the torts and damages under the Mosaic Law, including assault and battery laws, which extend their protections to children of all ages. The offenses are summed up in the New Testament by the slightest of personal slights perceived by the child, meaning whatever offends the child in the moment linked to entitlement. Entitlement in the New Testament is denoted by the Greek root word πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and refers to the entitled attitude of "I am a good parent, and I have the right to punish a child" leading to wanting things from children, or wanting children to do things, to the point of seeking to impose said want onto a child, leading to offense taken by the child on a visceral level, meaning with sensory gaslighting. Parent anger is a form of intent, and the damages imposed upon the child, down to the slightest of offense upon a child

Spanking is banned under the natural law of this country. In due time, one can expect increasingly stronger definitions against physical abuse. The legal trend, overall, across the country is stronger physical abuse definitions, under the physical law. This, as society evolves, will lead to a complete ban on spanking on the state level, at least in certain states, hopefully leading to all 50 states banning spanking. In most countries where it was successful, legal progress was gradual, not instant. Where the ban was sudden and instant, it was sporadically enforced or not at all due to limited resources by social services...For now, natural law holds a little-known legal ban on spanking in the United States. Unlike other countries, though we are a nation of laws, we are also a nation of values, and God's Law is above the law of the land, and an unjust law that excuses child abuse is no law at all.

Parenting in biblical times was attachment-based in nature, meaning parents were confidants, not rulers or authoritarians. Jesus Himself is documented in the Bible wearing swaddling clothes while next to his mother, Mary. This wasn't just for infants then, by our society's definition, but infants by their society's definition, meaning children up to age 3. Mothers in particular slept next to children, meaning co-sleeping. Obedience meant closeness enough to hear the reassuring voice of the parent, listen to what they have to say, and heed instruction knowing that parents mean well, not caring that they will never be punished even for blatant defiance. Pro-social rebellion was, in fact, encouraged, especially as children got older, as ancient Jewish society, including in the Early Church, was a freethinking society.

The depraved and entitled parents who provoke children to anger through punishment will not inherit the Kingdom of God! Let them suffer and rot in the ever-burning lake of fire and sulfur, which is the second death prepared for Satan and his accomplices. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Child punishment: Why God hates any form of punitive parenting

Many parents think children need punishment in order to grow up. This is a common attitude amongst American parents. However, children never...
