World Children's Day

November 20 is World Children's Day. Be thankful a day early for your child. I am thankful and grateful for the children who read my blog, as they don't have to read anything I write, and I am not entitled to trust from any of them.

Children's day is about gratitude for one's children, meaning be grateful for your child, and curb the complaints for at least one day, honoring the child for being the extensions of God that they are.

As the Apostle Paul said to parents everywhere in Colossians 3:21:
Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

Do not offend your child, meaning in terms of moral offenses against children. The Greek root word translated "provoke...to anger" is ερεθιζο (Latin: erethizo) refers to entitled offenses perceived by children, with parental entitlement being denoted by the Greek root word πλεονέκτης (Latin: pleonektés) and referring to wanting things from children or of children to the point of seeking to impose said want onto a child. Paul meant this as an anti-punishment command towards parents, but the meaning is lost to most Americans, who are Christians and do otherwise support Judeo-Christian family values.

Spend some time with your child. Walk in the neighborhood. Visit a favorite place of theirs. Be content in the room with them as they play on their phone. Be kind and charitable to your child every day, but especially this children's day.

Any comment that
1. Endorses child abuse (including pornography of such)
2. Imposes want to the point of imposition, meaning entitlement.
3. Contains self-entitled parent rhetoric, to the point of self-victimization

will not be published. Flexible application. Debate is allowed, but only civil arguments that presume the best of intentions in their opponent, on both sides.
